Yea that really stinks - it takes work to have a garden and it isn't fair that raccoons messed it up. I agree with one of the other posts google and see if there isn't a way to keep them out of your garden. Well sorry anyway hope you figure it out.

Are big problem is deer getting in our garden. My dad put a 12 foot fence up to keep them out. He had a 6 foot one up first but they would jump over it.
-
I have more problems with groundhogs
-
We have raccoons and the chewed a hole in our barrel cover, soooooooo annoying

I've seen a couple of raccoons here.. they are soo big... they could easily attack a person if they wanted to.
They do a lot of damage too unfortunately :(

I see them coming out of sewer drains at night to hunt for food.

Perhaps there is some sonic noise control system you could use to keep them away.
I have an app on one my phone that I play to keep my neighbor's dogs quiet, I can't hear it, but they sure can & they stop barking & go back inside. I've seen various sonic noise for a variety of animals.
I just got a solar sonic gopher device to drive a gopher away.

There used to be raccoons who lived in the dumpster at my work and one night my coworker and I tried putting the garbage in there when one jumped out at us as soon as we lifted the lid and there were many other times when they got into the garbage at my house and we would wake up with trash all over our lawn. I never liked raccoons, it got to the point where had to tie the garbage bin's lid down so they couldn't get to it anymore

Not sure if it works but they sell animal repellant for raccoons and deer. I've heard a lot of people say that it is pretty good.

Squirrels are my problem, had to have my roof fixed bc of them cost a lot of money & having them removed wasn't cheap either! 6yrs later a set of 4 squirrels run up & down my trees & roof some come really close to the front door possibly to enjoy annoying my cats!

I had a friend when I was growing up that had raised a "pet" raccoon from when it was a baby. He had it many years until one day it turned on him. It practically tore his face off his head. He had to have several surgeries to reconstruct his face.

well i had last week 9 babies and a mama dead in my front yard, a dog killed them late wednesday or early morning, opened up my front door and saw the mama and saw the babies.
-
No coons, but rather ground hogs and vultures!

How truly awful.
I've read that you can't domesticate a raccoon, they will always be wild.
-
Yeah they can be pests, but I think their cute!
-
we have issues with armadillos in our area.

I don't know much about racoons. I've heard some awful stories about them. We've always had a problem with rabbits getting into the garden. When we lived in the country the coons kept to themselves ... didn't bother us and we didn't bother them. Course we didn't have vegetable garden at the time either.

Sorry, the floods here flooded their home now I got them. They have thumbs makes them dangerous. My JC tells me when they are here, they are bigger than rats, we now I have them too. Hope they move on.

The deer and rabbits usually get into my garden. I am trying some new things this year to keep them out. I don't have issues with the raccoons in my area.

I used cayenne pepper to repel unwanted small mammals and it seems to work. I am also leaving an area where these little wild animals can forage too and that seems to help also.
