I really wanted to do just one time. So, I practiced in my history lol, well never did a Boston Marathon, did an unknown race, didn't come in the top, was extremely tired and very thirsty, nice prize. Do you know how to run a long distance or are you a sprinter.

I crashed on Icy steps and I can't even run to the bathroom any more!
-
i have never ran a marathon, but i think it would be a lot of fun
-
Nah...and don't plan to. However, I do admire people who have the stamina (and discipline) to do so.
-
Many years ago I ran a 10K race. That is a far cry from a marathon, but it was fun. My knees would never take that much jogging/running now.
-
I once ran after the ice cream truck! :confused1:
-
Run....ning? The best I can do is some jogging on the treadmill. However I know two people that completed the Boston Marathon yesterday.
-
I have trouble walking so running is out of the question.
running to me doesn't even look like an enjoyable sport. So many runners look like they are in pan :rose: :rainbow: :peace:
-
Me? No way! I can't even run a mile, probably not even half a mile.
-
Running is no fun because my face turns red and I am positively exhausted afterward.

I ran a Marathon 15 years ago.
I trained with Team in Training & raised money for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
I would never do a marathon again, it was hard on my body to recover.. but I am currently in training for a half marathon in October.
If you are planning to run a marathon & not with a group, there are training schedules available online for free. Good Luck :)

No and never thought about running one. I only enjoy walking.
-
I really want to one of these days. We'll see.
-
Only ran one when i was a kid and one in college just to support... something Lol I can't recall what kind of marathon was it, it was for charity though that's all I can recall.
-
Yes, I have not only run 30 marathons, but I have completed over 20 ultra marathons (distances over 50K - 31 miles). I have completed runs up to 100 miles. I am not fast, definitely a distance runner. Sprinting is not my thing.
If you want to run a marathon, you need to train for it.

I ran one two years ago for the first time. It didn't go well. Both of my legs locked up halfway through, and I had to hobble my way through the rest. I'll be doing one at the end of this year to hopefully do better.
-
I wish I could but I don't think I have the guts to do something like that. Plus my knees hurt just from going up the stairs and my back hurts whenever I jump so...
-
I wish! I can't even walk for long with out starting to limp.
-
nope I don't like to run unless I have to.
-
I ran a kids marathon with my sons back in February. I always wanted to run a marathon for myself though so that is on my to do list. I look forward to running again with my kids next year.
-
I ran a breast cancer marathon before.
-
I have completed fourteen marathons including: San Francisco, Milwaukee Los Angeles, Lake Geneva, Chicago and New York. I graduated to Ultra Marathons-mostly in Colorado. I qualifies for a Boston entry with a three hour and twenty five minute marathon in Chicago. My best half marathon was one hour and thirty five minutes. I have attempted the Leadville one hundred five times with my longest distance being eighty five miles before succumbing to hypothermia and not being allowed to finish the race. I have finished a five k in seventeen minutes. I broke my foot during a training run, eight years ago, and have not run more than three miles since then-primarily because I have two kids and need to work double shifts in order to cover all that they do.
-
No I've never run a marathon. I don't think I would want to either.
-
Nope, I have not. It would be awesome to someday! I just don't think running is something I will ever enjoy lol
