I would not worry at all about this.  Maybe we get a birthday bonus?  ;D  You might have to be a certain age to join??  Also many places require you to verify with a phone number to make sure you are a real person and that it is YOU that is joining this, not someone else.

Yes they are personal questions..and I know that especially these days we must be careful what and with whom we share our information!  But again, Fusion Cash has been around for some time now, so no worries :)

Most sites want birthdates to make sure you are old enough. They can't really do no harm with your birthday, other than find out information about you. Anyone can find out anything about anyone with a simple birthdate.

I like to think positive.  Maybe they are going to send us a birthday present or credit our account.   :)

the birthday deal is to make sure that you're 9 years old :). You can imagine that they would limit some age group or so. I wouldn't worry too much about the birthday as it doesn't go much. I also think that 's it's part of the demographic information that they need to profile us. This is all about marketing. I'm sure the information such as birthday can be easily found even if we disclose it. As for the phone number, I think they need to verify our identify for the account. This will eliminate most people who are using false information.

Your date of birth is used internally for statistical purposes (in aggregate).

It's also used to pre-qualify you for offers.  For example, a survey offer might be available for 18-35 year olds - in that case, we limit the offer to users who have provided a birthdate & are in that age range.  If you are out of the range or don't provide a DOB, you simply wont see these sort of targeted offers.

Finally, it's used to pre-fill information for you.  If you click the OnDemand Research offer, or the MySurvey offer, you will notice some information automatically filled out on the page.  We include DOB in that information.  Note that an advertiser can only use that data if you actually submit the form.

I doubt there should be any need to worry. However, I do hope they integrate a system where you receive a small gift (cash or otherwise) on your birthday. That would be pretty neat!
