For a couple of years I've managed a Google Blogger blog and it's something I enjoyed doing; however, Google recently shut it down because I was using my Amazon affiliate link to monetize it. Apparently, you can only monetize a free blog like that if you qualify for and use Adsense ads.
That being said, I decided to "break away" from Blogger and create my own Wordpress website; where I paid for a domain name and paid for hosting for a year. The total for those 2 things was about $104.00 with Hostgator. I just started it on Mother's Day last month.
My website is all about trivia and other information.
Do you have your own site?

i have a couple of blogger accounts..was using them to store patterns..havent used them in a while

That's awesome! I used to have my own multiple websites and now I run and manage a site for my son. I have my own hosting which I get discounted and also make extra money for selling hosting. I will have my own site up soon within the next 6 months about my new career/business with Health Coaching and I am excited! The school will provide it for us so I can promote myself. :)

Years ago I had a website that I built up and it had a lot of retail stores in it. then it faded. then a few years ago, I had a website on go daddy and people kept referring to it as a blog so I cut it out. Now I just run a blog. same concept,no cost.

my cousins each have their own website.
one is a photographer.
one is a musician.
one is a writer for website content, including photos [all layout].

I use wix (free/no domain) for 2 sites. One is maintain regularly... the other is fairly behind and needs some work. I wonder if people would consider that one a blog? I also built and maintain a site for my church. Again no domain. They don't want the extra fee.
-
I did in the past but did not have money to keep it up :(.
-
No, I do not own any website, yours sound interesting, I have never given it any thought.
-
I do not have one but I am considering it. So this is good information to know. Not surprising though unfortunately. It's all about the money. Just like everything else in this world.

I have several websites that all use the WordPress blogging platform. I think links are prohibited, but I don't think it is a violation to provide the blog titles: GetPaid! Words of Wisdom No Coincidences with God Rusty's Recent Ramblings Tommy's World
Each is a fun way to stay creative! Good luck to you!

I have started dozens of websites by getting a $1 a month hosting account with NoSupportLinuxHosting.com and registering a domain name with GoDaddy for less than that and a lot of them use WordPress. It's all in knowing what is available.

I have a blog on blinkweb, free :)
-
No I don't and never thought about having one but it sounds interesting.
-

I have a couple of websites. Some social media sites do have rules about the use of them.
-
I have my own website. I secured my first and last name dot com and tell people about the survey sites I belong to. I also have it linked to a Facebook group I started about Survey taking. I have 50 referrals here and I joined in August of last year so I must be doing SOMETHING right lol
-
No I don't, I wish I did but don't know how to or on what.

There are many variables to consider in both content and potential traffic sources that could influence your results, but the most important one in my opinion is patience. Don't let past results influence your current attitude.

I have a website with descriptions and links to all the best moneymaking sites I've found, but unfortunately I haven't really kept up with it that much. The links and stuff are still good, but I need to add a page for mobile earning apps, and just do general updates.

I have a website. It mostly exists to showcase my comic Bullets Bourbon. But I also put up my youtube videos there and a feature I call Johnnie's Jukebox. If you google my name, you can probably find it.
-
Yes, tried many affiliates...but never made any money!
-
I don't, but as of today I haven't needed one!
-
no i have no use for one. Those of you that do have one good for you and good luck

My husband and I own a business. When we bought the business, it came with all of the supplies including a website.
In addition to business referrals and other methods of marketing, out website has been very instrumental in the success of our business.
-
no i do not
-
No. It got confusing to me, be your own boss at home.

I make websites for a living but I don't have my own personal website. I don't have anything I need to tell the world that badly :p
-
I don't have a a personal website. But just reading on all the previous posts sounds like it's a fun idea. But I think it is something that I don't think I can maintain if I have one. Good to know that you can have your own if you want to.
-
No, I do not have my own website. I have never really thought about having one. I manage the website for the company I work for.
-
Honestly no. I don't have the time or the money to keep a website blogging going. I would love too but eventually it comes down to those to variables. Companies charge way too much for you to maintain the website and I have very little time to keep one up. I barely maintain my Facebook and twitter accounts and at least those are free.
