Title: Cell phone brand
Post by: melodylogan45 on June 29, 2017, 03:21:54 pm: I have a Iphone 5, but I think I liked my old Android phone better. I cannot
afford to keep up with the latest brands.

I'm on an iPhone 6 right now and will be upgrading to a 7 when they price drop for the release of the 8. My iphone 4 just stopped working within the last month. I was using it to still play games and run video apps for another site.

I do have problems with the battery life but always have since I got the phone but I have found a place online to buy spare batteries for around $5 and also got a charging dock for $15 that charges the phone and the spare battery super super fast.

I recently bought a new cover for it as well for around $6 so my phone looks brand new.

I think if I were to switch to another brand, I'd like to try out Google's Pixel. The pricing for Project Fi looks good and I'd love the unlimited photo and video storage.

It's an older phone, but I really like it, because it is small, has enough memory and storage, and works pretty good. The only flaw is that the battery gets hot when I play games, and it's not a replaceable battery. (well, I can replace it, but I have to take the phone apart.) I've never had an iPhone, but I like Android, so I stick with that. Plus I buy unlocked phones for my Straight Talk plan, so I need something affordable.

I can run video's on it through another site. That's enough added bonus for me. Calling and texting is all I need... I don't have much use for much more yet.

I am very pleased with it. I have now retired and keep it on Straight Talk because it is unlimited for around $47/month.

I have dropped it countless times and the screen had not broke. and sadly I dropped it one to many and the screen cracked but it still functions perfectly. It was also very cheap at about 50. bucks US.My husband now had to have the newest I phone 6 and he dropped it once shortly after we bought it. We had to continue to pay the contract off. He hasn't had the use of the phone. We even went as far as to have the screen replaced. It still doesn't work. He has it in a case beside his bed. He pulls it out every so often and looks at it . :(

Post by: cathy37 on July 04, 2017, 02:06:03 pm: I also don't care for the I-Phone brand. I think you are just paying for the name. Most of their apps you have to pay for, but on the Android phone you get a lot of apps free. I have an Android phone and love it.

I don't like massive phones and at the time I was shopping, all Android phones I handled were far too big for my taste. I'd rather have Android most of the time, but there are a few plusses to iPhone ownership, like easier synching to my (ageing and slowly dying) MacBook Pro than with an Android.

I have decided to not spend lots of money on smart phones rite now. My advise would be to always look up reviews and warranty info. Sometimes i have seen great promo on phones. Buy one get one free, $100- $200 off retail on smart phones etc etc.
