Title: Talking on the phone
Post by: melodylogan45 on July 01, 2017, 06:03:46 pm
How many hours do you talk on the phone over the weekend? I talk a few
hours with my mom and with a friend of mine. Other than that I
text the rest of my friends.

Normally, I don't like to overspend time on the phone.  I like talking in person at length.

I probably talk on the phone about an average of 30-45 minute a day, and other than that, I text.  I do prefer to hear a person's voice and their inflection as well as the opportunity to ask someone's meaning quickly if I am not sure I understand.  That's the problem with texting.  Meanings are sometimes misunderstood.

rarely talk on the phone anymore.    My parents are both gone and they were the only ones I really talked to on the phone for amount of time.   Now days it is just a causal talk  and mostly txting to my kids.  I can laugh with txting just like actually talking to them, :highfive:

I don't talk on the phone unless I have to call someone like a doctor's office, or mechanic...someone that I can't text. Otherwise I usually text everybody else. But I guess less than 3 hours I talk on the phone.

I don't really talk on the phone a lot. I text more in a week than I talk in a month. I just prefer to do it that way.  :peace:

I talk to my Mom and Dad on the phone every weekend.  Like some others here, I text with my kids more than talk via the phone to them.

Two of the girls send a lot of Snapchats.  I enjoy the pictures, but wish I could save them.

I do not spend hours on the phone; even when I am talking with my Mom who lives in another state; because we speak frequently it is not necessary to spend hours on the phone at one time. I see people on cell phones all day talking out in public so much so that they don't even pay attention to where they are walking or their surroundings!

I don’t spend too much time talking on the phone nor do I text a lot. When I text my friends, they’re usually short messages. Talking on a mobile phone nonstop for a long time can make me feel exhausted.

I can talk a lot, but I don't talk much on the phone.

It seems to me that people respond much faster to texts than to a phone call. N'est-ce pas?

I only get telemarketers on my phone it seems anymore.  Even on my cell phone.  I can txt anyone and get a faster answer.  I guess that is the way to go anymore

I rarely talk on the phone. I hated it as a kid and don't really do it as an adult either.

I text more than I talk on the phone except when it comes to my mom as she switched to a prepaid plan where she has only so many texts for so much money ..

I prefer to text, but recognize the importance of actual phone calls.  I talk to my sister for hours at a time and I talk to my ex husband/father of my children daily.  I need to call my grandmother more, but I've recently increased the calls I give her.

When my mother was alive, we could gab for hours on the phone. Now I don't spend much time talking to people on the phone.  Texting can go on for a long time though.

My mom has the same plan, I think it's half a point for a text so I text my mom too whenever we talk.

I text more than I talk on the phone except when it comes to my mom as she switched to a prepaid plan where she has only so many texts for so much money ..

I'd much rather talk to someone than text. Too many times a text message gets twisted into a different meaning.  But seems i'm one of the few left.

I don't talk on the phone too often. Usually when I do, it's just a quick call to my mom or something. But every so often I'll have a long chat with my mom, friends, or my boyfriend.

All I use the phone is when I talk to my family and friends.  So I guess I just used my phone normally.  Hope everyone have a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe. :)

I don't really like or talk on the phone. The phone for me is a necessity only, not to chat.
