there are times when you might meet a friend you went to grammar school or high school with.
I am from a big city.
When I was working and commuting from the suburbs, I would see a couple of classmates on the morning train.
some people are hard to find.
I had two good friends in grammar school I could never find. They both may have married and have different names.
People do move away from their hometown.
some people don't want to be found.
I had a friend in grammar school who inherited her father's pizza business that is all over the country.
Once when my family went in for a pizza dinner, I asked if she was there. Someone said that I "just missed her".

I have lost track of good old friends. One friend, Bonnie, I went to high school with, a bit of college time, reconnected when her bad marriage exploded and mine was about to.
Now. cannot find her. I had a computer crash, and lost the email I thought I had for her.
Kinda miss her.

Speaking of old friends. My room mate in college back in 1969 is stopping in for a visit next week. We send each other Christmas letters, but I haven't seen her in decades. I'm pretty psyched about it.

I wish I would have held on more tightly to some of my friendships from the past. I have learned to value such relationships too late as I always used to make new friends easily. Strangely enough, since I've gotten older, such relationships seem more and more difficult to find. Maybe God is teaching me a lesson! I wish the lesson was over!!

Our class is getting together again in August, we got together last year and it was so much fun that we thought we would do it again, there were a few that couldn't make it but otherwise we all had a great time. Some were sorely missed as they have passed oaway, So there were tears of sorrow and tears of joy.

This is the usual. When people go to college, build a different life, move out of town, you will lose track of them.

Last time I contacted an old friend from high school, the individual said she did not remember me. After that, I gave up on trying to find old friends...

I spent the 4th of July with a friend and neighbor that I met back in 2005. He's different now and he seems to really appreciate the fact that we've reconnected with each other. It's funny how people can "pop" back into your life.
