Title: Back to school supplies
Post by: melodylogan45 on July 29, 2017, 10:45:19 am
Have you started shopping for your kids back to school
supplies?

I use to love going shopping for school supplies, pencils, pens, paper,
Notebooks, binders, book bags, etc.

I bought some of the school supplies for our grandchild earlier this week.  I'll probably try to help some more with it in another week or so.  I do think it is ridiculous the amount of supplies they have to have.  Of course, we have to provide extra so everyone has supplies.  I'm all for helping kids but it would be nice to be asked to help instead of sending a huge list pretending its just for your child (or grandchild).

I helped fill the bus I felt so cool, I bought the backpack, and I stuffed it with the cutest school supplies ever.  Yesterday, I went to Walmart, bought solid color nice tees for $1-2.00, what a back to school special, but I bought them for Christmas presence for this year. I remembered reading a text from my/a friend of the Fusioncash nation's blogger that was about how is too early for shopping for Christmas?  Cool thanks
lol, lol, lol

I started last week. I used online Old Navy they had a bogo going on. At least I have the uniforms for now. I really don't need as much stationery, because last year I got extra.

Thank goodness that I no longer have to do that.  I did enjoy doing that when I was still young.

I remember back to school shopping. It was always kind of fun getting new things for a new school year. Once I got into high school I didn't care so much. Just trying to make it through.

They've got some really good back to school sales going on right now....  I got an ad for Staples today that had a coupon which will give you a rebate to get a ream of paper for 49 cents & a box of multiple reams for $2.00.   Love the sales :)

My kids are fully grown and out of high school, college and graduate school. Thank heavens! I used to enjoy shopping for back to school supplies for them but I doubt I would enjoy it much now, with the prices being ever so much higher than when I was actually shopping for them.

When I was in school, I ALWAYS loved "back to school shopping" waaay more than actually going back to school.  :)   I still get to do "back to school shopping", it's the BEST time to get the best prices & selection on the office supplies I need for work & for my home office.

I also enjoyed doing some school shopping for some kids this year thanks to Dollar Tree (in my area, not sure if ALL their stores are doing this) who is taking donations of new school supplies (bought from them) for kids in need.

My kids started back to school on August 3rd. I spent close to $400.00 on 2 kids for clothes and supplies.

I do it year round.   When I see a good sale.  I also do secret  shopping, so I have to get something inexpensive, so I will get school supplies.  I have several relatives who are teachers and are always thrilled to get the supplies that I have extra.  I get reimbursed, so it is a free donation.
