Title: Lunch
Post by: melodylogan45 on July 29, 2017, 10:56:29 am
Do you take  different meals to work for your daily lunch? I try to take tuna
Packets and a apple. I always have a container of chicken broth and tea
In my lunch bag along with peanut butter and pretzels in my drawer at work for when
I am not in the mood for lunch.

When I worked, I would make a salad to bring for lunch - consisting of lettuce, spinach, onions, tomatoes, broccoli, mushrooms - and often adding in items such as a hard-boiled egg, olives, cheese, any leftover chicken or other food  from dinner the night before. I would bring my dressing in a separate container.  I often used a leftover Chinese food container for my salad and people would always ask where I bought it because it looked so good.

Lately it's been pb&j with potato chips. Then I have a breakfast bar a little later for a snack.

I've lost weight doing this. Not sure why.  :-\

I like to change things up. When I take lunch, I may take a salad, but go to the grocery store and buy cheese or eggs or something to throw in. But I like to change it up because I may not feel like eating the same thing over and over again.

I used to take lunch (from home) in the past. However, with my ever-increasing workload, it just became easier to buy lunch from a fast food restaurant (I know, very unhealthy) or the local convenience store. I really need to go back to the basics and take my lunch with me again. Very damaging to the wallet. :(

Some of us who volunteer at the non-profit  charity will cook something and we all eat potluck today I took green chille stew for lunch also a large fruit salad and another lady baked a chocolate cake and brought a big green salad. So there was plenty of food  for every one to eat good. We do this twice a week, Sometimes we have more then  we have people , but then we all trade out on the leftovers and every one goes home  with supper cooked.

I take different stuff.  Who wants to eat the same thing every day.  There is a guy I work with that eats a packet of tuna every day.  I would be sick of it.  Besides the fact that the mercury content is not good to eat it every single day.

I always liked yogurt and wheat thins for lunch when I worked at Hill AFB.  Sometimes I would buy a small chef salad, instead.

Work is crazy busy most days and there's no time for a real lunch break so, I usually take a protein shake (mixed with leftover coffee) for lunch along with a couple of snacks like a banana, some nuts, a hard boiled egg, or string cheese.  I also keep a bottle of aloe drink and some crackers in a drawer for ulcer flare ups.  Quick & easy.

What a great idea! More places should think of doing this especially in our hectic world.

It depends on my leftovers from last night.  Worse case, I make a salad.

I brown bag it every day. I always leave snacks in the fridge at the office (veggies or fruit) because if I'm not busy I always get hungry late in the day. I usually bring leftovers or a sandwich. I'm cheap like that!

I just take whatever I had yesterday night or just end up buying something from the nearest place to get something to eat.
