Title: bicep strain
Post by: amyDAST on August 10, 2017, 10:36:46 pm
Has anyone ever had issues with bicep strain if so how did you recover without seeking medical attention? Mine hurts a deep dull pain when I move my arm certain ways or lift my arm over my head. I have tried ice packs, epsom salt & cold compress. If anyone has any other suggestions though I would be grateful for them.

I had exercised too much several years ago.
I don't know what exactly happened, whether I pulled a muscle or something else.
I found Dr. Frank's joint and muscle pain relief.
I also used a magnet wrap specifically for the shoulder.
It did take time to heal - three months.
you did the right thing by putting cold on the area.

If you have pain for week you should go to the Doc's because you could of torn and stretched or vein/artery being compressed or maybe you need a operation just to fix it. sorry for your pain hope you get relief. Heat and ice.

Might be cause for a doctor, but I always try exercising the painful area first. It worked with my carpal tunnel and with my tennis elbow.

Getting a massage from a good therapist can be therapeutic as well. Might hurt some :crybaby2: but be better afterwards.

Hope it gets better soon. I don't like having pain either.

You just have to wait it out until your muscles decide they've recovered.

Just take it easy, take Advil, and give your muscles proper rest.

I know that in general for strains you need lots of rest, gentle massages later, and mainly letting it heal itself. If it persist for a couple of weeks I think you should visit the doctor, though, as it might be more serious or just harder to get to then

Do not get any vaccinations in that arm because it could make the muscles strain worse.
