I have to testify in court next monday for the state against my husband's sister we witnessed a goverment crime she did. I have only been to court in my divorce case. so I am nervous about court especially since at her hearing the judge showed his bias and without seeing our evidence guranteed her no jail time and told her she don't need a lawyer. we my husband and I need all the help we can get. he also permitted false witnesses to tesitfy who are not a witness to anything. we couldn't get a change of venue. we did have conflict of interest he was the same judge that framed our son in his case. I know the defense strategy the prosecutor will ask how I would describe my husbands family. the term I will use is narciccistic they have all the characterstics. my husband is tesfying against them too. any advice? i have no idea what to expect do etc? as I said my only court case was a divorce. the judge was a fair one. this time I deal with one crooked as a snake. 8:30 am on august 21,2017.

You should present your concerns to the prosecutor handling the case (if you haven't already) and explain to him/her why you feel the judge is biased. If the prosecutor agrees with your assessment, he/she can take step to try to have the judge recused.

yes we have been working to get that done.

Yes, I received a subpoena to appear in court to testify against a friend. That was a nightmare.
Fortunately, he took a plea deal so it was enough that I showed up and I didn't have to testify. That's when I learned that I would be paid for appearing.
I think they paid me $20 - just for being there.

Never testified against, but had people testify against me and they failed miserably as I was innocent.

I have had to testify as an expert witness on a few cases. I have been trained very well by attorneys on how to answer "to the best of my knowledge".

Yes, a few times, the store was charged with discrimination several times , But since I was the one doing the hiring in that department, I had all of my paper work and proved there was none. The people just did not show up either for a follow up interview, or for training and after several times of trying to contact them we just wrote them off. So the suit was always dropped. I believed in coving your tail on all bases.

I have never had to testify against anyone. I think I would be very nervous though. I wish you luck, as long as you tell the truth nothing else matters.

No, I have never been to court as a witness. However, witnesses are a key part of the case. Wishing you well as you prepare to testify.

Nope - only time I was in a courtroom was as part of the jury duty process - but I was fortunately not selected

My friend was a witness on the Judge Judy show, does that count?
