Certainly will keep them in my prayers. I feel their pain. Living down south I have been through quit a few. Katrina was by far the worst for me.

Texas definitely needs our prayers. Flood waters, wind damage, tornadoes......they will suffer effects for weeks and months to come.

:(It very bad down here in Texas because of tornado. A local news station was evacute and one person has died
inside a Walmart store. It has been raining for three days and it is still raining. Public Transporation has been
suspended so people cannnot get to work or leave their homes. I know all of these new because I live in Houston.

Deep in the Heart of Texas, my soul reaches out to you.

I just watched a report on Dickinson, Texas. The pictures are heart breaking. That must be the most frightening experience, and it seems they are expecting even higher flood waters. We have friends who live in a town very close to Dickinson. They said this morning that they are still high and dry. The reports on TV make it look awful. The flood waters rise so quickly. Prayers are needed from everyone.
-
my thoughts and prayers are with them .
-
For sure, prayers to our friends in Texas.
-
Have seen pictures of people that are standing on top of their roofs and in nursing homes, our prayers are with you.
-
I definitely agree. My prayers go out to all of them. I saw on the tv this morning a lady that lost everything. I am so grateful for the things I have. They may not be fancy or new, but I am grateful for all that I have.
-
Yes definitely! It is horrible down there!
-
Texas is big in my heart. :peace:

My prayers going up

It's a scary thought to hear that FEMA could be there for YEARS assisting. People using axes to hack through their attics just to get out! Small cities and towns will be wiped off the map when this is over. :(
-
Praying for strength and hope for them.

I have been praying for them for days. My uncle and aunt are down there and they're in their seventies. They told me that they had already relocated to a campground 100 miles west of Rockport, so they're safe.
They also heard it through the grapevine that they've lost some shingles on their home and their fence blew away, but they're grateful that all is replaceable. However, they have no idea when their electricity will be available again.
The real drama of it is that they lost their oldest son this year, so I don't know how much grief they can bear. :( If nothing else, this helps us know how fortunate we are when we are not in a situation like this as it's happening.
