Title: DOC VS. HOME REMENIES?
Post by: babypolotb on September 20, 2009, 10:09:15 am
should we take the chance to see the doctor about our illnesses or take the chance to read through the books to try to cure our own cold and coughs and other illnesses on our own?     :angry7:

these days, i lean more toward home remedies.
i try not to google-diagnose myself if i don't know
what's wrong, however. that has definitely lead
me to unnecessary paranoia...

but yeah. for something rather simple, i don't
waste my time or money on the doc.

I say for simple things, home remedies.  Anything serious, go to the doctor!

There is no cure for a cold so going to a doctor of a cold is stupid imho unless is it very severe.  There are lots of things to prevent getting sick like eating a healthy diet and exercise.  If a lot more people did things to prevent illness everyone would be better off and a lot healthier.

I generally try to do something at home first, as everyone's view for cold if itz not really serious no doc medicine is needed if dr. gives medicine for simple cold like runny nose, even for a little congestion itz time for you to change the dr. if the congestion is really serious itz gonna show up with shooting temp more than 102 so, until then u can treat them at home.
I have a very gud tips for this winter to fight COLD for u r for UR KIDS.......

gud soups,
hot water,
put atleast 2 times a day Vicks all over the body like chest, on the back, over the throat, ears(very little not inside the ears outside the hole) so that the air goes thru the ears will have vicks vapour,
vicks under the foot really gives a good releif in nose (rub it strongly u shud feel the heat when u r rubbing)

I really don't have that much trust in doctors, I have been to so many appointment about recurring symptoms that I have, taken so many prescription meds as well as over the counter ones and they still can't pinpoint why I keep on getting these symptoms. It can be really frustrating spending all these money and time and still no cure.  >:(

I am a firm believer of home remedies.  I grandmother has taught me all she knows about home remedies pass down from her mother, and so on and so forth.  Basic necessities, Dial Soap, Neosporin, Turpentine, Methylaid, Hunt's Bond Lenament, just to name a few.  Especially the Hunt's Bond Lenament, she uses it for everything.  I got stung by a wasp one time, which I am allergic to, and she told my Dad to get the "Linnymint" as she calls it and it worked the swelling went down and I didn't have any more problems, but it also lightly stung me.
