I  hope anyone who has family or friends in Texas that they will be ok and survive through
this devasting time.

I have a brother and sister in law that live close to Houston, they had to evacuate a few days ago but are now back to their home.

My family is safe in my area here in Houston, and I'm so grateful. I feel so bad for others' in worse situations. It's been a hard week, that's for sure.

I don't have any family in Texas, but my prayers are going out to all those affected and to those who lost relatives.

I have a friend that I was best friends with back in high school until they moved to TX. When young, you lose contact with friends in far away places, losing addresses, etc. I recently found her (it took 44 years to find her again!) and we've been emailing 2-3 times a day.

She is okay as are her kids, but they were stranded because of the flooding of the streets.  She was lucky. They didn't lose power, either. Today some of the stores have opened again but people can't get to them unless they have a boat. Streets are still flooded.
