Title: Today's technology
Post by: tbronson4 on September 09, 2017, 05:28:28 am
Everyone is just spoiled by today's technology. I could not find my remote for my television this morning and had a thought that I could not work my television without it and just walking to the television to navigate it was just so much trouble without that darn remote. (͡° ͜ʖ ͡° ) 💕 😛 💋 ❥¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪♫ ღ ✞ ☆* ♡ ℒℴѵℯ 💕 (͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )

Technology has made our lives easier. People may call us lazy, but we are just being more efficient

I just bought a new TV and frankly, I don't know how to turn it on without the remote.  Sad.

Try reading the book that came with it.

For me, this technology I go to my phone store to get it deboobed for me at times. When I loose my remote for the tv, the tv's buttons are at the back dark corner and they are tiny and you must remember which one is the power button  and the cable box is separate to turn on but I am able to do it manually   ::) I study my computer.

I can't imagine going back, now that I have had time to enjoy my 42 inch 4K resolution smart TV with a Soundbar to enhance the audio.

I think it's okay to be a little dependent on technology, but you should still be able to do something yourself.

I have never done this, but I have seen people use their phone as a remote control.  But I agree with you.  Technology has gotten crazy and just imagine how it will be in 10-20 years.

If you really feel that way, I have a slide rule I have had for many years I would send you for shipping cost.

I agree that we are very depending on our technology. I would know what to do without my computer or cell phones

i have to take periodic breaks. Sundays will usually find me in the woods with a loyal golden retriever. The phone gets turned off and the highest technology allowed is a pair of binoculars.

My kids find it funny when I tell them that when I was a kid I didn't even own a remote! :o They also find it impossible to believe that my generation didn't have the Internet and cell phones when we were young. They wonder what we did all day!

I would be lost with out my cellular phone! Not so much for the phone part of it as I make/receive maybe two calls per week but the texting! I check in on my kids (both at college) once in the morning and just before I go to bed at night. All of my investment accounts and money making applications are on my phone (so happy that it now requires my finger print to open it). The applications are probably worth five dollars a day alone. My day time job always provides the newest and best as far as technology goes which spoils the heck out of me. I have used the same laptops and extra screens for about four years now on my evening/weekend job. I could probably get more work done at night if I had bigger screens. I am allowed to work from home once a week (from the day job) but don't take advantage of it because my screens at home are smaller.
