Post by: snuggleycutejc on September 11, 2017, 08:37:53 am
I always wanted this to happen to me but something always got in the way. Do you have your own business? only a yes or no question. I found a very small one for $3,000.00 I told them once you make that amount back, than it yours, thinking about it. Well anywhoo, Have a good "I Want to Start My Own Business" Day! Yes. Lately, I have definitely considered this.

I've actually been thinking about it a lot with a specific business in mind.

It probably won't happen unless I get a fire in my belly for it, but it's nice to dream anyway.

There are more advantages than most people imagine, unless they try it and look for themselves. I had my own computer consulting business for over 20 years and earned a nice income for my family, but even nicer I bought a building to run it from and leased it back to my own corporation. They payed for the building in full, then when I retired I sold it on contract and had $1,100 a month coming to me for many years to help my home budget. Finally someone else bought it and paid me off, so I ended up with another $150,000 tax free. I think as long as you have to work, you might as well work for yourself instead of making someone else comfortable in their retirement.

Yes and no.  There are a lot of types of business I wouldn't want for liability reasons.  I do like how you can start your own business for just a few hundred dollars and potentially make that back within a few hours.  I have taken that route.

Yes! The only problem is "not enough revenue".

I have never thought about having my own business.  My daughter has always wanted to have a book store.  Now she is a franchise owner of a convenience store, but doesn't like it.  She would like to open a children's consignment store with her neighbor.

Everybody probably has.  I would want to have something I could do myself and not have to have employees.  So basically something online.

I have a small business but it's online. My best advice to you is to start your business online first then think of getting a store it's the best way to go for now

I do have my own business.  I am in the early stages.  Getting my name out there.  Building Supplies.  Having just completed all required certifications and licensing this year for my state I'm now ready to officially have it up and running.  Working full time for a retailer makes it harder...Time is limited as is my energy - so it's baby steps for now... until my youngest is grown up.  Slow and Steady!
