By that, I mean, did you dress up as the same character/thing as you did in any prior year? I dressed up as Marty McFly for Halloween last year, and I’m thinking about reusing that costume this year because my down vest as part of the costume feels so soft (I love soft things), and many people have complimented me about my shoes (red and white Nike) that have also been meant to be part of the costume.

I haven't dressed up for Halloween since I was little and I didn't reuse anything back then. I wouldn't think anything would be wrong with it depending where you are wearing it. If it's the same group of people as last year, I wouldn't do it.

I have not not this might be the first year.

That’s just you. I’m sure nobody would mind seeing me wear the same Halloween costume I wore last year even if those who saw it last year would see it again.

It could be a new tradition. My 16 year old daughter is still trick or treating. She loves horror movies and books and Halloween!

I have reused parts of costumes... for other costumes... for different kids. 2 of my 3 kids have outgrown dressing up for Halloween. I believe my youngest is getting closer to that as she hasn't asked about dressing up this year and has even made comments on how this school doesn't 'go for' dressing up... and she's okay with it.

How can you outgrow dressing up for Halloween? It’s not something just kids do.

I don't dress up every year. I do keep my outfits from previous years or time's that I need them. Some costumes are too cool to keep!

I was never much into Halloween, even when I was a kid. I think I went trick-or-treating a couple of times maybe, but my brother brought more than enough candy home for both of us, so I just stopped going. But speaking of Halloween costumes, my brother used to buy two or three different plastic masks (the cheap kind held on by elastic in the back) and he would go trick-or-treating, change masks, and then go out again to the same people's doors who didn't know it was him again. He'd end up with at least two paper grocery bags full of candy! Good times, good times. :pumpkin:

I definitely reused things when I was younger if I really loved the costume

I haven't dressed up for Halloween in ages. Too old and too poor to buy them lol. My son buys a new one every single year though.

I haven't worn a Halloween costume since I was 13, but when I did, it was always either a cat or witch.

When I was 11 and 12 I wore the same costume. I was a scare crow. It was a pretty simple costume, overalls, some stuffing, etc...

Naw, I always try to do something different. I have used some parts more than once. (I.E. using the same cape as Zorro & Batman) But I always try to be a different character every year.
