I would give compasses to the kids and told them use it in your play, bring it when we go on a hike. This subject is actually hard for me, reading maps, really not as easy as I hoped. Do you use a compass? it is fascinating how they do...wow. This has actually happened to then they are victims. Do you know how to use a compass? Everyone should remember this one day, don't be a victim. Marooned Without a Compass Day! Have a gr8 day :present:

I used compasses all the time when I was sailing.I'm sure many kids today including my nieces and nephews have no idea how to determine what direction North,East south or west without using their phones. :rainbow: :pumpkin: :peace:

Used them years ago when my daughters were in Girl Scouts but haven't use them since except the one in my car that tells me what direction I am driving

I'm not good at using a compass and today most people probably don't even know what one looks like. I'm good at reading a map but now there's GPS and the cell phone gives step by step directions. My hubby never liked asking for directions and most of the time he won't even follow the GPS so we always keep the gas tank full and the EZ pass account for his bad turns.

I have never been good with a compass or a GPS for that matter lol I am pretty good at finding things on my own with written directions and I've been told i have a good sense of direction. I've been lost but now I am found! ;D

I own a compass but hardly use it though but I do bring it with me for in case.

I do not have a compass but know how to use one; I have not used since I went camping many, many years ago; with today's technology it would be interesting to see if young people today would know how to use one; most just use their phones!

I do not use a compass. My flashlight has one on it. However I have never used one.

I have used a compass many times in the past while hiking in the woods. I generally use the sun or moon as an indication of which direction I am heading (unless it is cloudy and no sun/moon available).

I might be naive but I don't see the complication with using one. Of course I am speaking from the perspective of a grown man and not a kid.

I used compass in school years ago to navigate time
