NBC fired Lauer as Variety was preparing a story in which several women detailed their allegations against the powerful TV host, whose annual salary was more than $20 million.
As the Two-Way reported yesterday:
"Lauer allegedly gave a female colleague a sex toy with an explicit note about how he wanted to use it on her. According to Variety, he exposed himself to another female employee and then 'reprimanded her for not engaging in a sexual act,' and he made lewd comments verbally or in text messages in front of other employees, including references to their performance in bed."
"Repairing the damage will take a lot of time and soul searching and I'm committed to beginning that effort. It is now my full time job. The last two days have forced me to take a very hard look at my own troubling flaws. It's been humbling. I am blessed to be surrounded by the people I love. I thank them for their patience and grace."
Lauer's name joins a growing list of high-profile men in the media who have fallen from grace after women reported behavior ranging from inappropriate to illegal.
Oh Well ... By by 20 Million a year!

hypocrite, he said bad stuff about our president and he was doing worse stuff.
-
No he is not. He will get another job on another network.
-
He so deserve to be fired i hope hes taken for everything hes worth for the stuff hes done

I always enjoyed watching Matt on the Today show. I liked his personality. Goes to show people seem to always have a dark side to them. His was exposed.

Both Matt L. and Charlie Rose really surprised me. I guess people in power will often try to exploit others. Whether they get other jobs or not, they probably both have beau-coup bucks tucked away with the money they already made. If they don't...oh, well!

When is the president going to get fired too for his misconduct or is he too rich and powerful to get fired ???

good question
-
Ugh, he's disgusting.
-
What a joke! And it wasn't an isolated incident -- there were as few as 3 and as many as 6 allegations against him. I'm a Today Show loyalist, been watching The Today Show since I was in middle school, but I'm very glad he's gone. I 100% believe the allegations against him -- he's even admitted that some parts are true -- so firing him is the right decision.

Considering that the President has done nothing even remotely as blatant, manipulative, or revolting as Bill Clinton did and Clinton didn't get "fired" - then in answer to your question, I would say never.
-
Liked him watched him for years. Really surprised by his actions. I new he flirted but what he did was so wrong.

I always say you never know what people are doing. Sometimes they think they are entitled and can do anything. All victims should come forward but also be truthful and not falsely accuse someone.
-
Good riddance to all of them... they've made enough money & now it is time for them to go.
Hopefully the next crop of "celebrities" will promote respect towards women & men who are "beneath" them in the power hierarchy.
I believe in due process, but I've heard that Matt Lauer has a ton of evidence against him & pictures.. sad.

It is amazing all these allegations are coming up now. Congrats to the women who are strong enough to come forward.

The only reason Matt Lauer said he was sorry was because he was sorry he got caught. I have just about quit watching most of the liberal news and talk shows. I will watch OANN news though . We get it on direcTV. enjoy it more. It seems like the more some man talks about how bad they are they are just as bad if not worse.
