of sleep do you get ???
I get about 7/8 hours of sleep on the nights I don't work
6/7 hours of sleep on the nights I work til 1:30 (and don't have a morning appointment)
and I get 3/4 hours of sleep on the nights I work a full 8 hours of sleep
-
I try to sleep as much as I can. Sleep is very important for your health. I go to bed at 10pm and up at 5am. Only 7 hrs of sleep a night. I must try to get to bed a tad earlier...lol. Please don't try to sleep less than 7 hrs as it can be harmful to us.
-
I hope for 7 or 8 hours but usually get about 6 give or take
-
Thanks for the reminder, I am going to go take a nap right now.
-
try for 7 or 8 but once I wake up, I'm up. I'm retired and always thought I'd be able to sleep later but sleeping late just doesn't happen for me. I wish I could be a nap person but I'm not, my husband can take a nap anytime any day.
-
Usually between 7 and 8 hours a night. I also try to squeeze in a 1 1/2 hour nap in the afternoon. It revitalizes me!
-
I usually get about seven hours of sleep a night with a nap here and there every once in a while. :)
-
I would love to get more sleep, but I usually get 7 hours of sleep M-F and on the weekend at least 8 hours.
-
its hard to say, I have a cat that roams that wakes me up several times during the night, so maybe I get 4-5 hours of actual sleep
-
I fall asleep at between 8-9 p.m., which is a holdover from when I worked) and wake up at 11:30 p.m. Then I'm awake until between 4-6 a.m. and fall asleep until 7 a.m. Sometimes I take a nap in the afternoon, but usually I just fall asleep at the computer for a "cat nap." The more sleep I get, the more I want, so I stick with this schedule. I've tried being "normal" but it never worked.
-
I get 7 hours a night most nights.
-
Not enough. I already want to come home from work tomorrow and go to sleep.
-
I try to get about 8 hours of sleep during the week days cause of work. During the weekend I tend to get a bit more. I like to have naps during the day and sleeping after normal time's to get up from the week!
-
i would like to get 7 or 8 hours but I usually get 5 or 6 hours. Not sure why I get up so early...no alarm either.
-
It varies for me. One day 5-6 another day 2 hours.
-
Now that I'm retire I usually get 8. I feel so much better with that I only got 5 to 6 hours when I worked.
-
I rarely get more then 6 hours, I don't care how late I stay up I am up around 5-5:30, always have been. And I would love to be able to sleep in. Now hubby can sleep in every day if he didn't have to work. And he can take a nap of 1-3 hours and then go to bed early. But he does get up for a couple of hours during the nap. Taking long naps does not help. If I lay down for a nap I get about 20 minutes and get up.
-
I probably get eight hours of sleep, but it is interrupted sleep. I stay at my daughter's house to keep her two year old son and my bed is in the nursery. My grandson will not sleep in his bed all night long. He will wake up and come to get in the bed with me. I also have to get up at sox to wake up my older two grandsons for school.
-
My sleep is all over the place because of a stomach problem I have. I really just sleep here and there. :BangHead:

Nobody is "normal" as it applies to anything. What works for you is what works for you. :star:
I sleep pretty well most nights unless I talk to someone who talks about how they can't sleep. I'm highly suggestible.

I usually get at least 7 to 8 hours sleep. However it is broken sleep as I am a light sleeper and the least little noise outside wakes me.
-
Sleep is a necessity...not a luxury.
Quality sleep matters.
Sleep calms me down...makes me relax.
I feel better after I get enough sleep.
-
You should really sleep until your whole body is rested and recovered and in tip top shape but we don't live in a perfect world and you don't recover from everything in 7-8 hours.
-
I get 5 to 6 hours of sleep when I'm working and 7 to 8 when I am on vacation.

I always 'slept more than normal'. My family always said I didn't need to sleep that much. Finally I came across a study showing an average of how much different age groups need to sleep. What was more important to me though was that they found two groups that didn't fit. the first group did better on very little sleep. 3-4 hours tops. The second group needed much more sleep. 9-12 hours. I've always needed more sleep and cannot function on normal sleep. 8 hours for me is like 4 hours for most people.
-
Sorry to say not enough...I get between 5- 6 hours daily and on bad days 3-4 hours.

-
I have fibromyalgia and part of that is not sleeping so I don't sleep well at all. Almost always on Saturday night I either don't sleep at all or maybe get 2 hrs. Most nights are about 2 to 4 hrs of straight sleep.
-

-
I usually get 6 - 8 hours of sleep a night. I do wake up a few times during the night.
-
I average about 10 hours. I've been told I sleep too much and I'm "lazy," but my body thinks it needs 10 hours and that's what it will get.
-
I would love to get 7 - 8 hours of sleep. But with my current job and financial situation, I'll be lucky to get away with 4 - 5 hours. Thankfully, the situation will not be forever. 7 - 8 hour nights of sleep, here I come!
-
I know I don't get enough sleep. I average about 4 to 5 hours a night. I just don't sleep well. I would love to go between six and eight hours a night. Sometimes I get a quick cat nap for about an hour or so during the day. :rainbow: :peace: :snowflake:
-
I need to get at least 10 hours of sleep a night. Otherwise I just can't focus. If I didn't have things I needed to do during the day, I'd probably be able to sleep 14 hours a day! I just love sleep! My grandma told me long ago that when I got older I'd need less and less sleep, as she only slept maybe 5 hours a night. But it's the opposite for me: when I was younger, I hardly needed any sleep. And now that I'm older, I need more and more sleep! :-[
-
Not enough.I get around 5-6hours/night.
-
I sleep 8 hours, no matter when I go to bed.

I get around 6 to 8, lately I don't get not even 7.

Tonight? 3 hours more than I thought before I fixed my clock. Good for me. May regret it.

-
I am lucky to sleep 5 hours most nights but than sometimes I will sleep about 18 hours. I have severe depression and I am on meds for sleeping and depression. I take a total of 22 medications a day. That is why I spend so much time on here.
-
Haven't been measuring my sleeping hours lately - it might be as long as eight or nine hours.
-
7-8 hrs...usually get up around 7am and start surveys...usually fall asleep on the couch watching tv....such an exciting life.... :turkey:
-
I really don't have any idea anymore. I always have trouble sleeping during the week. Sometimes I can't fall asleep and other times I do fall asleep, but I wake up in the middle of the night.
-
Lately, about 5 or 6. :( Being a caretaker is hard.

lol. Mine usually sleeps thru the night. But they lay on me and sometimes I wake up when I am trying to roll over or something. And then of course if I am off I still wake up at the same time. I don't get how these people can sleep til 1 or 2 in the afternoon.
-
I have lupus and pulmonary hypertension, so I sleep around 10 hours a night. I'm only 45, and I get really frustrated with it.
-
Yeah I know what you mean. Many times I only get 5 to 6 hours of sleep. I've been tired lately.
-
It depends on the time I go to bed. But I usually get 6-7 hours per night, sometime less.
