Yes they do. I wish I could have had my mother over for the holidays, but not this year. I plan to spend Christmas with her next year for sure.

My family drove twelve hours from Colorado to Arizona to be with my parents for two days and then drove back. My sister drove thirteen hours from another part of Colorado with her boyfriend, visited for four hours on Christmas and then drove back through a snow storm. My mother is seventy eight and her health is on a rapid decline. My father is eighty seven, still has a kick in his step, but is troubled at the possible loss of his immortal beloved. We are all of the thought that this is my mother's last Christmas in Arizona...she goes to a neurologist tomorrow and we are hoping that nursing home advise is dispensed. We are not pushing the responsibility as we have already suggested the same but a third opinion supporting ours would be helpful.

I spend the morning with my husband and children.  The rest of Christmas Day is with my mother and the rest of my family.

I didn't have company at my house for Christmas but has a lot for Thanksgiving.  I spent Christmas with my daughter, her husband  and my granddaughters.  I totally enjoyed my time with them.

Yes, the holidays always bring people together.  Most times it's out of towners whom you can only see once a year because flying is expensive.

Our house is too small for much company and our family is too far away to get together.  We do have a couple neighbor couples over every few months.  That is about all we can handle.

No company for  Christmas.  I would have it here nut   my brothers family is so large already.  14 of them and my house is just not large enough. And I get nervous if too much is going on at one time. Besides that I would have my stepfather and a friend of his here too. Now I don't mine in the summer when we can all be outside. Lots of room then. I have had as many as 30 here then.

I am one of those people who always hated visiting relatives or having relatives visit.

I have OCD, anxiety, and depression, and dealing with family is not my idea of a relaxing time.

Nope, I like to just chill with my best friend, Scott, and all of our pets.

To me, THAT is family. The one I chose for myself.

The holidays definitely mean company one way or another. Whether that's with family and/or friends. There's lots of visiting that happens for the holidays. It's great catching up with people.

I saw some family over the holidays but I just went over and spent some time and left.  No company in my house.  Not something I have to worry about at this point in my life.  My time will come.

We didn't have any holiday company this year. This year, we WERE the company! I love not having to run around like a crazy person trying to get my home all ready for company, not to mention how much food you've usually got to prepare for a big family. I like just taking a few dishes to another family member's home, enjoying everyone's company, and then being able to help clean up and leave!
