Have you taken your decorations down yet? One of my neighbors has taken their lights down day after Christmas, one still has their house light up and going, the rest are taken down. Have a gr8 day :present:
-
Our family Christmas tree was packed up a few days ago. We didn't have lights on the outside of the house.
-
We're in the process of taking everything down. Tree, along with inside decorations has been down a few days. We're in the process of taking outside decorations down. That is going a bit slower because it's so cold outside. We keep everything up and lights on through New Years Day.
-
It's a tradition in our house to take down the Christmas decorations on New Year's Day, and that's exactly what happened this year. Usually we have a few neighbors who keep up their outside Christmas lights year round, but this year it seems that everybody took them down the same day we did.
-
Didn't have to take them down because I didn't decorate. I used to go all out but since the kids and grandkids are all grown, it's not the same. There are lights on the outside which hubby turns on Christmas Eve and leaves on until New Year's Eve, then off for another year. They're up there all yera round.
-
We'll be taking ours down starting tomorrow, Sunday.
We like to leave them up through the Epiphany... the 12th day of Christmas.... cuz Catholic.
I had an enjoyable Christmas, hope everyone did too :)
-
I took them down on New Years Day as I was watching the parade
-
I haven't even put up decorations at my house in a couple of years. I spend most of my time at my daughter's house keeping my two year old grandson, so I don't decorate my house.
-
no decorations to take down
-
My decorations usually come down the weekend after New Years. However this year because of the cold weather the inside decorations will be coming down but the outside decorations will be staying up another week.
-
Every inside came down the day after New Years Day but the outside decorations are still out and will stay there until it gets warmer. Maybe tomorrow it is suppose to be 32 here,
-
No we have not. My son is going to Costa Rico this semester for college. He asked us to keep the Christmas decorations up until he leaves on Tuesday.
-
My son took down all of the lights attached to the house exterior yesterday while my wife took all the decorations off of the Christmas tree. We still have two huge trees to remove Christmas tree lights from and ribbons galore around the house. I only have the kids around the house for another eight days before they go back to college. It was sixty degrees in our area today and the same temperatures are forecast through Monday (in Colorado). We have even changed the neckerchiefs on our Golden retrievers to president's day themes. Our neighborhood was quite festive this year but a large percentage of our neighbors have taken advantage of the nice weather and taken down their Christmas decorations. One or two will probably push it until February.

Since both of my boys have passed and my grandson is grown and on his own, and of course not here also my lovely daughter-in-law has been married to a wonderful man now and lives quite a ways off, we don't decorate. Always seems so lonely with anyone here. So we go out to my brother's house with his family for dinner then come home. Although we do go to Church and the Christmas eve program along with the Lords supper. Do our volunteer work at the charity . Also help pack and deliver Christmas boxes for those in need. So in a lot of ways we celebrate Christmas and this year I gave all of my Christmas decorations to my niece and her children to use. I had bought a lot of decorations hoping for grand children and that never happened. Except for an adopted grandchild and like I said he has gone his own way.

Nopes, Lol pretty lazy on taking it down but will most likely take it down before the lunar new year starts.
-
We got snow here on Jan. 2. First time in 30 years we have had snow that actually stuck to the ground and it is still there four days later. Booo!!! Point: Everyone, including me, who still had decorations up took them down before the snow.
-
I just took the ornaments off of my tree. When I’m ready, I’ll put the tree away. (I have an artificial Christmas tree.)
-
I took all of my Christmas decorations down the day after Christmas.
-
We always wait for the 12 days of Christmas to pass, which probably means the stuff will be coming down in the next day or two.
-
Yeah, me and my family removed ours. It's always sad taking them down for me cause I get used to seeing them.
-
Later, every year we took it down Jan. 7 after my husband bday(5) and my father (6). Let them enjoyed for there bdays.
-
mine are taken down christmas day or the day after
-
I have everything boxed and ready for next year. The tree always comes down on New Years eve.
-

We take ours down the day after Christmas. The ones indoors are down and packed away. The outdoor lights are in containers stacked on the carport waiting on my husband to get his building organized so he can put them away lol
-
We have quite a few folks still blazing Christmas lights in our neighborhood but we have an HOA so they will get a warning if they don't take them down soon. I think they have til the end of January although I would never leave mine up that long. All I had this year was a blow up Santa which kept falling down and aggravating me so the day after Christmas I took it down lol.
-
We always take them down on New Years. This year we mistakenly took down the lights a couple days ahead. The neighbors still had theirs up and I felt guilty that ours were gone.
-
I have been trying to take my Christmas tree down. My grandson keeps saying no he wants it up.
-
yes...in the process after xmas and after the new year. Took down the tree after xmas but took lights down a few days ago.
-
I love putting them up but hate taking them down! I have yet to do it!
-
I usually take mine down the day after Christmas. :)
-
I took my decorations down the weekend after Christmas. My Amaryllis plants are still out because they haven't bloomed yet.
-
This year when I took down our Christmas decorations, I sorted all the boxes. I gave ornaments to my children that I bought for them yearly when they were little. I discarded old tattered decorations and have a pile that either will go to goodwill or the landfill.
-
I have taken everything down and put it all in and on the pool table in the game room. I am getting it all boxed up a little every day, my plan is to get it all back up into the attic tomorrow when I have help to carry it all up.
-
My decorations was down the day after chrhistmas. I put them up early and take down early way before the new year.
-
My decorations are almost completely down... I've just got the bottom & the middle part of the Christmas tree to tarp up.
I went & purchased a coupled of Tarps from Harbor Freight to hopefully protect the tree until next year. My tree sheds it's little green needles like crazy. I really don't want to buy a new tree, cuz this one looks nice & the larger fuller ones are hard to find these days & they are now so crazy expensive if you do find them ... something comparable to what I have is almost $400.
Anyway, I will have it done finally tomorrow. I'm actually looking forward to getting it overwith... and moving on to the next house project. :)
-
I have but I did notice that people around in my area still have them up. We took ours down over New Years. I think after that it is a little late to have them up. :snowman:

What's a HOA?

We use to bring down everything around springtime, you know the time for spring cleaning or when mom blows up & screams at us to clean it up! Lol! Each year we decorate less & less! This year we didn't even buy a manufactured Christmas wreath for the front door!
-
I never put any up so I have nothing to take down.
-
We do not do exterior decorations. Tree and door wreath, etc. stay up at least until the Feast of the Epiphany.
-
finally got the out door decorations down a few days ago. the tree is coming down tomorrow only because I am going to baby sit a two year old and a two month old on Monday. I know the 2 year old will be into the tree so might as well get it down before she gets here LOL good excuse other wise it would be up a few more weeks LOL
-
The hubby took our outside lights down over this past weekend. Time to move on to Valentine's Day Decorations.
-
Our cats had our tree half down on Christmas day. They knock it over and play with the decorations. I gave up on expensive or fragile ornaments years ago.
-
I took mine down shortly after the new year, if it was up to me id have mine up all year round.
