I experienced the WORST customer service last night at a shop near me; I don't want to mention the name of the store because I'm not in the habit of publicly trashing people or business' (Even if they DO deserve it).
Tuesday afternoon I bought something from this store. I paid cash for it. I took it home and found out it didn't work. So last night less than 24 hours later I took it back to the shop and asked if I could get a refund. The girl in the shop told me NO even though I still had the receipt. I asked if I could get a FREE replacement instead then.
Again this person told me "NO." I asked to talk to a manager now as I’m not happy and I explained that I had just bought the item had got it home and it didn't work. The manager just smiled and told me to my face that I was "OUT OF LUCK." No refund. No FREE replacement. Grrrrrrrrr.
I'll tell you what...I am NEVER buying another LOTTERY TICKET from there again .................GOTCHA HEHE

You should call the corporate office
-
that is hilarious. I was hooked til the end. You definately got me!!

Vent at the right channels does the best goes a long way. Agreed, call the corporate office all the stores has a store number so no names are needed. I learned venting really help the heart, but; venting can help you get the story together. I wish you :peace: OHMAN I wanted to win the lottery. :cat:

Ok that was truly amusing. Very good twist at the end. Hey I seriously think it would be a great idea refunds for non-winning or a consolation prize. The prizes are too darn big as it is. Well again very funny thanks for the smile.

Thanks for the laugh.

OK I see most people replied before reading to the end. I had a reply typed then went back to read the rest and saw it was a joke. This type of thing has happened before and a lot of people do not know they do have recourse even if a company is not playing fair. So I was telling you what steps you can take.
Someone else had mentioned "corporate". Not every company has a "corporate office". If you are a small business owner unless it is a franchise like McDonald's where you may own the local store but still answer to someone above you - if you own a small business then you do not have anyone above you. But there are still courses of action a consumer can take if you totally rip them off. You may not get money back but when people google you they can find where reports have been filed with the BBB and what your response was.
I have googled businesses and decided not to deal with them when I saw they had several complaints and they refused to do anything.

That's funny. I needed a good laugh

That was a good one! I was thinking what to write to help you get your money back, until I read the last line. You really got me and made me laugh.
-
Wow, that's a good one. Up to the last line of your post, I was just thinking about how the brick and mortar retail industry is in trouble because of the online businesses. How dumb it was for these employees to be so reckless and to dig themselves into a big hole.
I must say that I'm relieved and amused - probably more amused. Thanks for the good laugh. :silly:
-
SMART … :)
-
I could actually picture it happening!
Good one!
:rose:

AHAHAHA... i used to post these all the time on fb and my family would be like 'oh my gosh i though you were really hurt' and later they just laugh about it. pays to be the family joker sometimes! ;)

Online ain't a lot better. They both have their up side. With online if you have an issue you have to pay the return shipping most of the time.

Good One!
I was thinking as I was reading you should do a yelp review & what kind of store wouldn't take something back... then I got to the end.... very funny!
Thanks for this amusement :)
-
Omgosh you got me good I was really feeling sorry for you I couldn't believe anybody would treat someone like that haha
-
What does the receipt say about refunds? Is there a number on the bottom to contact with questions or concerns? What about a website? If there is one, maybe you should post your experience on there. Somebody will listen.
-
some require you return the item to the local store when you buy online.
they won't send you a return label.
one company told me that they don't have the employees to make sure the merchandise works properly before they ship it. I followed the directions. when they sent me a second one, they didn't want the broken one back, of course. the stores we buy from, no matter where they are, get their merchandise from a wholesaler. You aren't really buying from the company.

For those of you who think that I was serious I was joking.
-
It's funny how some people don't read the whole post. HAHA it was a good one though

That was so funny. I was all serious about this thinking how wrong this situation was. Thanks for giving me a good laugh this morning.
-
This is really cute! Think some people missed the punch line
-
you had me for awhile. read that a woman brought back her Christmas tree to Costco around jan 7th. they gave her money back can you believe that.
-
Its all good. You can vent and that makes you feel better. Look customer service if the hardest thing find today because people so mean. People just dont get paid enough to care.
-
I was thinking what a bunch of jerks until the end. I saw on the news some lady took her Christmas Tree back to Costco because it died, and got a refund. I thought that was unbelievable.
-
I was starting to get a little upset myself, till i got to the end. Good one.
-
That was clever! Thanks for the laugh.
-
Thats funny. You got me.
-
Hmm.... I thought that as long as you had a receipt they would HAVE to refund you... or at least replace it...
By LAW, "Stores that do not accept returns must clearly display their policy.".. I would suggest you go check if they were displaying this information... if they don't... and you are pretty sure about it, you could even notify the consumer protection division of your local district...
They WOULD HAVE to refund you if you made the purchase within 30days..
Therefore: INVESTIGATE! You might still be on time.

I heard that too and thought that it must have been a really young associate to have allowed that. I wonder how many more are going to bring their dead trees back to that costco''s now lol...WOW !!

Funny, but totally

Take it a step further. It's funny how some people don't read the replies to a post. You don't even have to read the replies but just skim over them to figure out that this was a joke.
To everyone else who replies afterward to this post:
The item was a non-winning lottery ticket - not returnable and the store did nothing wrong!!! It was a [funny] joke!!!
(Okay, I highlighted that statement above to try to draw more attention to it... Let's see how many people still reply after me with advice on how to get the store to be more reasonable and refund you the price of your losing lottery ticket! LOL)

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D This just made my entire day much happier, Thanks! I wasn't expecting something like this form a post! I should try this someday to get a reaction from the clerk!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

That's kinda like the joke I tell whenever I lose at Bingo: "Can I help it the woman sold me the wrong cards!"
