I know for a lot of my elders in my family it is when JFK was shot. I was wondering what other moments from news or personal moments to you guys you will never forget when and where it happened.

When they gave a date when the earth was to end! They said the humans were to be extinct in 1000 years from now. They said you don't need a bomb shelter, this property would be more valuable if one was here in the backyard, even if was a detached cellar. The insects and rodents are evolving soon the poisons won't bother them at all. :angry7:

Two things come to mind; 1. When O.J. Simpson was acquitted for killing his wife and 2. When Ann Richards was elected governor of Texas. Oh, and 3. When Barrack Obama was elected.

The day my son arrived is a day I will never forget. Then secondly, the day my Mom passed away.

The day my kids and grandkids were born.

I have four equally important moments in my life that I will never forget: the day I got married (Little Log Wedding Chapel in Gatlinburg -- we had 11 people at our wedding!), both days that my boys were born, and the day my mom died. Those days are forever ingrained in my memory. I don't usually remember many specific things about days when current events have happened; those kind of fade with time. :peace:

The day my father died of heart disease he was 49 and I was only 11.Remember every little thing like my mom screaming about 11 at night. my rushing into the bedroom finding him on the floor. Being took to the neighbors waiting on the couch. There are many hundreds or thousands of things we remember in life.

So many good memories and so many sad ones. The birth of my boys the miscarriages of my girls, mom went too soon and so did my boys. so I hang on to the best of the best and honor the worst of my life. My boys were my life, but God had other plans for them.

It's kind of hard to narrow it down to just one. So I'm going to go with something that has nothing do with personal births and loss. Thank God I didn't personally know anyone affected by the twin towers going down. But that day when we all sat in disbelief looking at our screens wondering what's going to happen next? It was the moment I felt for our nation... when I felt like a citizen whose family was shaken. I was young... early 20's. A first time mother. It was the first time everything I was wrapped up in paused.

I'll never forget the day my mom passed away. She said she would get better... unfortunately she didn't.

On a very happy, personal note, one moment I won't forget happened just three nights ago. Nothing is more gratifying and than seeing your own child be happy and successful in life. Monday night, Natalie was playing a St. Jude's benefit with Bobby Bones' band, and Keith Urban was a guest singer. Natalie was playing fiddle and singing backup. When Keith got to the end of his song he pointed at Natalie and said, "Let's take a little solo." He came and stood next to her and they did an impromptu dueling guitar/fiddle. She had no idea this was going to happen, and it was amazing! It's definitely something I will never forget!!!

I will never forget the day my Mom died.

The moment I will never forget is the day my grandmother died. She was home and I held her hand as the warmth literally left her body. I remember looking at her face while this happened and thought, 'Perhaps heaven is just a nice idea but not real.' Almost immediately, I heard a voice in my head reply, 'No. It is real.' I can't explain it, but somehow I knew I was hearing a fact and haven't doubted since.

Personally it was when my children were born. Publicly I remember when Reagan was shot as well as 911.

I would have to say it was the moment that each of my daughters were born. They have changed my life forever!! :) :in-love:

9/11, being in London during the terrorist attacks there, getting sick in Jordan, meeting my favorite artists, and many more to come hopefully!

For some people, the memory can be sad, happy, or traumatic; like the day the first birth of a child, a wedding ceremony, an adventurous vacation, 9-11 tragedy etc. I shall never forget my high school graduation while spending the final time together with friends before embarking our separate journey to college and taking up the challenges of life in the real world.

I have two, 1987 i walked in on a Robbery and had some jerk stuck a gun to my head looking for money and cracked my forehead open, that left a nasty scar to remind me every day ! And just this Dec. on the 21st a friend put a gun to his head and I found him, I couldn't get there in time to stop him and i'm really having a hard time with it. What I found was really something no one should ever have to see.

There are a ton of unforgettable moments in my life. So it's hard to choose. I'll go with a personal and sweet one. The day I showed up at my mother's office and she thought everyone had forgotten her birthday, but then saw the irises I brought her. She had an unforgettable smile.

An odd moment I still remember (even though I am a senior) is going to the movies with my grandmother when I was
about 5 years old and seeing The Wizard of Oz. The wicked witch of the west (Margaret Hamilton) scared me silly so I went to the ladies room every time she came on. Years later Margaret Hamilton was on TV a lot apologizing to kids like me for having scared them to death.

Being a senior citizen there are so many days I will never forget the day I married the love of my life and the day he passed away the birth of my 3 children and the death of my daughter are no doubt the most memorable

I have several .. but I do vaguely remember being 5 years old and in the back yard with my dad when they said on the radio that JFK was shot. The other really prominent memory that sticks out was on 911. I remember hearing about the plane hitting the first tower and I had turned on the TV and saw the 2nd plane hit the 2nd tower. I remember crying my eyes out .. it was just that shocking and sad.

Seeing my first baby's sweet face is a moment I will never forget. The second moment I will never forget is seeing my first granddaughter born. It was so exciting to be in the room with my first born granddaughter.
