I wanted to talk about my car. Last week i went to get in my car to go to town. I tried to start it and it did not start. (what a great way to start the day) So I asked a friend to give my car a jump. Needless to say after it got started there was some thing wrong with my car. I was :(... I called around to get help to fix my car and well that was not happening either. So I had to call the only person i knew that could fix it. No he came to pick it up and i still dont know what is wrong with my car. I hope it does not cost me an arm and a leg..

I hope you figure out what the issue is!
-
I hope that your car is a simple fix or something you can afford.
-
I'm so sorry... it's always a stressful time when a car acts up because the price to fix it can skyrocket based on the unknowns. Is it going to be crazy expensive or just a simple reasonable amount. I had a car that wouldn't start & it turned out to be the ignition switch. Hopefully it's a simple fix.
Keep us updated on your car.... I'm sure most of us here have had car issues & are empathetic to your plight, scary times :(

car fixes mostly turn out expensive sad to say
-
Sorry to hear this. I know how expensive it can be if something is wrong with your car. Last week I closed the passenger side door and the mirror fell out and broke. I’m afraid to go back to the dealer to get a replacement as I know it will cost a lot, my mirrors are heated.

I got that 5.4 Triton (2005 F150) that had the sparkplug issue....bought the truck new in '05 but only has 62,000 miles on it.
Started bucking and kicking and rattling....wound up being two bad coil packs but plugs needed to be changed...6 of the plugs broke off and had to be drilled out....with that and two coil packs tune up was $1,200 dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Most expensive tune up in my whole life! :confused1:

good luck i hope it gets fixed.

This happened to me one time. I came out of work and it wouldn't start. Someone gave me a jump and it started but it was jumpy and not running right. I had it checked out and all it took was cleaning the battery posts.

Think Heavens I have a great nephew that can and does keep my car running great. He has his own repair and does mostly tractors but is great on my car. I only have to pay for parts if needed but is getting close to having to buy another one. And I refuse to buy a new one. I like to buy used ones. Bought a new Honda one year and drove it less then 2000 miles and was about 200 miles from home and the timing belt broke and messed the motor up as it was a side winder. Had to get it towed all the way home. Now that was a bill. Took it right to the dealer. They gave a problems but in the end they had to replace the whole motor. , paid the towing and my motel bill plus meals as the tow truck would not tow it that far in the dark. So we went to the first town and spent the night and then on home.

i too hope you get your car fixed quickly and cheaply

Hello! :D :)
I don't drive so I don't know anything about cars. Nonetheless, I hope fixing your car will be inexpensive for you. Shop around for the best deals so it won't be too expensive. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

:fish: :moon: :fish: Might be the battery or the starter. Those would be the simple things to start with. If those don't work would check fuses they have a connection to starting as well. Good luck! :fish: :moon: :fish:

That's just horrible. What's even worse is trying to find an honest person who will fix it right. My brother has a 2010 CRV from Honda and when he took it to pepboys they listed a zillion and one things wrong with it. He then took it to a friend he knows the the friend told him most of the things that need to be done with the car don't even need to be done. Car dealerships are notorious for this sort of thing. My friend lost his job at a GoodYear because he went and told the customer that he couldn't do an alignment because the alignment machine was broken. This was after (and without his knowledge) the manager (who knew the machine was broken) made the customer pay for an alignment.

Good luck. Car troubles suck unless you can do the work yourself. You never really notice how much you appreciate a car until it's taken away from you.
-
Maybe starter, Alternator, bad connection somewhere, i need a radiator for mine, so its sitting down til I get one.

Car problems are no fun. I pray that your problem is simple to fix and not very expensive.
-
I am deeply sorry to hear of your sad situation with your vehicle. The Timing Belt can go without any warning. I pray that you will get a good machanic to fix it for you without charging you a arm and a leg.
-
So, sorry for your car issues! I hate it when my car issues are happening too! It just totally messes up your life big time! Hope you find help soon.
-
How frustrating! I hope that you find the source of the problem with out to much expense. Our family has four cars and I always expect one of them to have an issue. My wife's is brand new, daughters is three years old, son (on his fourth car-three wrecks) is in a twenty four year old Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I drive a fifty three year old Jeep CJ that has not cost a cent other than regular maintenance. My son's car has been an on going source of fix up issues that, thankfully, he and I have been able to address. It has provided good bonding as we figure out what is wrong and fix it over a few beers on a Friday night. We have three things to address at this time: re-sealing his windsheld, replacing his windshield wiper fluid reservoir and replacing a coolant sensor.

Okay this was since Jan. and its not a recent post. Why continue to put it on for comments.
-
Hope it doesn't cost you too much!
-
Why didn't you ask the person who fixed your car what was wrong with it? At least you will know what the problem is should it stop working again.
-
my husband use to do all the repairs on our cars but he lost use of a hand so we take it to the shop now :bad: :moneymouth:

My '95 Chevy Blazer often has something going on.
Thankfully, my son's good friend is an excellent mechanic.
Helps a great deal.

Good luck may it be cheap to fi,good luck

I just got a new car recently - I was happy with my little silver taurus but every time I took it in for an oil change or the like I found out a bunch of way too much needed doing so I hope your repair is simple and inexpensive.
-
I hope they figure it out quickly and that it isn't something too expensive to fix. Fingers crossed for you!
-
Best of luck with that hun. Ive have recently put 1300.00 in my car
-
Seems like getting the car fixed always cost several hundred dollar.
-
Oh man car troubles are so dang inconvenient. The not having your keys at the ready to just jump in and take off is so aggravating. We learned the hard way to get insurance that includes the cost of a tow... We had to pay 2 tows the last time our car broke down (In another state) We didn't have a mechanic (other than the dealership) so we paid for the car to get to our house and then again to get from our house to a mechanic. EEEK.
-
You may need to call a different repair place. Get someone who "wants" your business. No fun being without transportation :'(
-
How did it go?
-
Cars are very convenient until they're not. They can really cost a fortune, but most of us need them in our daily lives. I hope you don't have to sink too much into yours to get it repaired. Best of luck.

People should not be allowed to have guns in their photos online here.
Whizz off weirdo...90% of your posts are off the wall...you make no sense... :P

Car repairs and break downs are the main reason I lease a new car every 3 years

Best way to do it if you got a decent income and don't drive far every year...never pay repair bills...
