I'm not a football fan so I don't really have an opinion, but I did hear about this. Maybe it will work out this time.

I never heard of it. I don't really watch football too much but I did watch the Super Bowl this year because the Eagles where in it.

Vince is pretty smart. With a lot of people disenfranchised with the NFL over disrespecting the national anthem, he's probably going to see a lot of success.

I still think it will crash and burn almost as badly as the first time but with NFL ratings down this season, it will stand out more in the short term.

I am a football fan and I will not watch a XFL whatever that is.  NFL rating was not that down this season, everyone still watch and the stands were always full.  No one disrespected the national anthem, it is what it is face the truth people.

I favor all activity that is positive & gives people an outlet & gives them something to do & provides jobs & boosts the economy

I don't watch football, so I won't be watching.

I have to disagree, but I suppose that's why we all have opinions.  Regardless of the reason for the display/protest/demonstration/whatever-you-want-to-call-it - it was disrespectful toward the national anthem.  TRUTH. Was that the intention? Perhaps not, but it WAS the result.  Without getting into whether we agree or disagree with the underlying reasons for the display or intentions of the players - it is disrespectful toward the national anthem to take a knee.

It goes both ways.

Mike Pence refusing to stand for the North Koreans at the Olympics was disrespectful toward North Korea. Whether you agree with his reasons or politics - standing would have been a sign of respect. Keeping his seat was a sign of disrespect.

Again, I am not judging. Some will argue that Pence did the right thing by disrespecting North Korea. I am not commenting on that either way - just that it was disrespectful.  Players kneeling for the anthem, regardless of who or what they are directing that toward, are disrespecting the national anthem.

As for the XFL. I'll probably watch it, but I expect it to fold after a few years once again. Are they still going to do that crazy opening fumble recovery thing instead of a coin flip to determine possession?

I'm not surprised with McMahon's move. Maybe he can get it right this time.

I am sure I will watch it a couple of times when it starts but will only continue to watch if it is any good.

The problem with disrespecting the national anthem, is you're actually disrespecting the people who fought to give us our freedom to begin with.

I will give it a shot, just like last time it came around.  I like football, so any reason to watch more is fine by me!

I really don't think that the XFL will succeed. Still, I'm curious as to how it'll be run
