I have tried to eliminate drinking at all in the week, and limit drinking to just one or two days on the weekend. I hope to have it down to one day a week. It isn't productive and can be a waste of money when you drink too much.
-
Yeah I stopped buying bottled water

I haven't been much of a drinker in many years but within the last couple of years I've started drinking a beer or 2 with my husband. Occasionally I'll drink glass or 2 of wine instead of beer but very seldom do I drink any of the hard stuff lol.

Not for 50 years. They used to ask me if I had a drinking problem and I would tell them I drink, get drunk, fall down, no problem.

I'm not a big drinker. Very rare that I have a drink. If I'm out to eat I will have one but it's rare that I have anything at home. Summertime we might fix a frozen margaritta or have a cold beer after working outside. No reason for me to cut down.

just drink wine but even thats expensive. so only a couple times a week.

Too much of anything is not good for anyone, The key is too find balance. My father traded vices for several years as he went from chain smoking cigarettes, to over indulgence in alcohol, to working too much to eating too much. Now he diets too much and I work too much. But I have always worked alot. With two kids done with private school the focus of my cash flow now covers them in college: car, apartment, extra food, spring break, and their trips home. That doesn't bother me as long as they are getting good grades. My daughter has an internship (in her field) this summer that should pay her more by the hour than I make. My son has been offered a job working on house remodels and is offered the same income that I make at my second job. With both headed in the right direction I will be able to focus on my retirement portfolio.

drinking is great as long as your having fun, its later when you have to drink to cope with your life, then its time to quit
-
Drinking is fine as long as it’s in moderation, I personally hate to see a female drunk.
-
I don't drink alcoholic beverages. It's either water or tea.
-
I never had that problem, I learned that you don't need all that water either, no more sodas except with going out foods.
-
I've never been much of a drinker, so I guess I haven't had the need to cut down.
-
The last time I had a drink was 3 years at my nephew's wedding and did not enjoy the taste. So guess I already gave it up
-
I was thinking about that the other day on how much money I use to spend on drinking. I am glad those days are over. I like having extra money and I also like not feeling sick and hung over all the time.
-
I don't drink that much. I am trying to cut back a bit, only because the beer I like (stouts and porters) are high in calories and I'm trying to lose a few pounds. I usually drink only a few times a week, but it all adds up.
-
I don't drink alcohol very much any more. Mostly on a social basis. When doctor's forms ask how often I have alcohol I usually say 1-2 month.
-
I tried a couple of times and failed in the past but I am Cutting down on it now though.
-
I have never been a drinker, so no need to stop since I never started.
-
Never had to
-
Yeah I stopped buying bottled water
bahahahaha! :D
-
yes i actially stopped for a few years
-
Water is my favorite drink and I'm not trying to cut back. I rarely have any other liquid and I don't consume alcohol.
-
Never was much of an alcoholic drinker. Did finally give up Vanilla Coke. Now trying to cut down on sweet tea.
-
Back in the day I partied more. Now I may have a wine or beer occasionally.
-
I stopped drinking alcohol altogether when I got pregnant for the first time. Before that I drank a lot. I didn't want to be the kind of a mother that would not be available to her kids at all times due to drinking.
-
I will admit I had a drinking problem, it started after I lost my son and nephew to an awful car wreck due to a drunk driver, I never drank to speak of in public but when I would be at home so alone, i would drink some to sleep. It was not too bad, but then when I lost my other son to cancer it hit me hard and I drank more. But one day I woke up and thought what the he** am I doing to myself. So with God and family I quit cold turkey and have never gone back to it Although I still miss both like a heck, I am clean and intend to say that way.
-
i enjoy having a drink and know i need to limit it pray can work
-
I don't really have that problem but I applaud anyone who recognizes and deals with it.
-
When I have alcohol in the house, I may have a drink once a week. I try not to buy alcohol too much even though once a week is not bad, but I want to get back to only drinking a few times a year.
-
we very seldom drink,,,, usually if we go out to eat we might have a beer or a glass of wine. You just don't drink and drive around here. very seldom do we even drink at home.
-
I got 8 hours between shifts. By the time I get home I have about 6 hours total for rest, sleep, clean up and food.....that's if I am not walking.....on a Friday night-Saturday a.m. tint...........it's the one day of the week that question is answered for me..........yes, I do cut down on drinking......then buy milk once a week.........for no reason......but to drink it......and you learn....there is amazing out there...............non pizza related........over time.....no argument from me.....
-
If you have a strong enough reason for why you are doing it, then it is pretty easy to do. I quite drinking cold turkey almost ten years ago.
-
I've never been a big drinker to start with. Maybe once or twice a year at the most, then usually one drink and I'm done. Congrats on trying to cut back though!
-
Not only that, it is fattening too! I stopped drinking altogether about 40 years ago when I got pregnant for the first time. I didn't want to be the sort of mom who wasn't entirely available to her kids at all times, so I quit drinking altogether and tried to substitute it with exercise to get a better health benefit.
