I think it's WAY too salty.
:fish:

No, I don't but I enjoy eating it maybe one day I will actually learn how to make it.
-
No, I don't make corned beef and cabbage. I also never tasted them.
-
No, I have never made corned beef and cabbage, I wish I knew how.
-
My daughter and I love it. It is expensive here and they sell it in the very large roasts.
-
I do not make corned beef and cabbage, I can not stand the taste if t at all. :dog:
-
love it but corned beef cost double what it used too
-
I like corned beef a lot. So having it once and a while is a treat :clover:
-
Many times all through the year, not just on St. Paddy's day. We will buy a half dozen to throw in the freezer while it is on sale.
-
No. But the corned beef goes on sale the day after St. Patrick's day for 50% off at Ralphs/Krogers, so that is the time to buy it if you eat that kind of stuff :)
-
Yeah my family does the traditional corned beef and cabbage with potatoes and soda bread!
-
I wait until they go on sale after St. Paddy's day. and yes we eat it once in a while. Hubby loves it and I am ok with it. Just not something I would want all the time because of the salt. I won't prepare one this Paddy's day because we will be going to an elderly friends 90th birthday and her family is fixing Mexican food for all of us. then I will fix a corned beef later this week.
-
Used to make it frequently for my now deceased husband. I like it but he really loved it so I made it frequently not just for St. Patrick's Day. I haven't made it since he passed away and so after this post I think I will get the ingredients and make some in honor of how much he loved it.

I do the same thing at this time of year. Makes for a quick and easy meal too!
-
dont know how
-
I use to make it, but don't anymore. I'm not that fond of corned beef and I only made it because my ex-husband liked it.
-
I never found that to be appealing to me.
-
I'm of the Irish and couldn't care less, you know you can make any type of food any day you want(do Mexicans only eat tacos on Cinco de Mayo ?) I don't even like the stupid green milkshake at Mcdonalds
-
Yes I do, in the crockpot. I love the smell of it.
-
no dont like cabbage the smell of it cooking isnt good for me
-
Never!

My son was born on St. Patrick's Day.
When I was in the recovery room, after giving birth, the hospital sent corned beef and cabbage to my room.
I was already so sick from the anesthetic, and they bring in cabbage??? Good grief.
I asked them quickly please take it away, and chose ice cream or something.
I sill don't cook corned beef and cabbage, but after 44 years have grown cabbage for salads and soups.
My initial exposure to that combination left a permanent memory. The whole hospital smelled of corned beef and cabbage. Too much for recovering.
:rose:
-
Yes! I do the corned beef, carrots, and little potatoes in the crock pot and the cabbage in a separate pan. YUMMY!
-
Yes have always had since I was a kid. Crockpot makes it super easy. I am all in on the little potatoes and baby carrots along with the cabbage. I grab an extra corned beef for the freezer.

:rose: There's a horror movie called Patrick which takes place in a hospital,in one scene Patrick uses his psychic ability to make a doctor eat piece by piece a frog from one of the hospital labs. It was a late 1970's or early 80's Aussie film and after seeing that gross scene I couldn't eat for days. It took a massive headache for me to force down my food, but eventually the images from that scene faded. So cabbage yeah bad stuff huh ?
-
I'd rather make cabbage with smoked pork hocks , i'm not into corned beef.
-
Corned beef and cabbage doesn't get fixed to much at my place. I do love it, just one of those meals that doesn't come to mind during dinner ideas very often! :clover: :clover: :clover: :clover: :clover: :clover: :clover:

Never cared for corn beef.
-
I make corned beef and cabbage occasionally, my husband loves it but I'm not a fan. I will eat it every now and then.
-
Love it but it was my husband who made it he was alive. I could make it but the corn beef in the can taste so salty & the cost of the can brand is so high! It also brings my blood sugar so high too! We usually just go to a restaurant to get cabbage & corn beef on St Patrick's day but I haven't had any since my husband died March 2, 2009. RIP Honey, say hey to Stephen Hawking for me! Lol! My hubby will now have someone as smart as he to keep him company out there in the great beyond!
-
I had corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick's Day. My family lineage is part Irish.
-
I love German food... :))))))))))))
-
Yes a friend told me how she made her and I do it ever year. I also make soda bread to go with it. We also have the Sauerkraut maker from amazon we use it often.
-
Oh Ya!!! One of my favorites. I like spuds and onions with it...
-
Nope, I like cabbage but dont eat corned beef.
-
I do not eat meat but I like cabbage. My sister in-law always make cabbage and Corn Beef on St Patrick's Day.
-
I don't like corn beef and cabbage. Although I do like it if they are eaten separate.
-
I don't make it myself, you know, but my mother traditionally makes the "Boiled Dinner" around St Patrick's day.
-
I love this recipe all time favorite. My daughter always asks me to make it.
-
I never cared for corned beef and cabbage, too stringy and the cabbage is too mushy. I am Irish, but that food has never particularly appealed to me. It often just strikes me as too bland.

Love it … :)
