...confused.
I just started my own account. I write my own jokes and I post them as memes. I try to spread some kind of positivity and happiness. I hashtag it and try to get more followers and I can't seem to get any. I'm lucky if I get 10 likes. I see friends posting pictures of what they're eating for dinner (at a restaurant) and they'll get 200.

I have a instagram account but never post anything. I mainly just look at other peoples pictures and videos. Lol.

It's just frustrating that people "like" plates of dinner (that someone simply ordered) rather than useful stuff such as laughs. I've had co-workers tell me (in person) that my jokes were funny, but won't like the posts. hahaha, but someone posts a photo of what they had for dinner that night and it'll get 400 likes. It's just weird what we value in the world.

i too am confused with instagram ! i have an account but very seldom use it cause i just don't get it

I use instagram, and have for years. Primarily just pictures of trails that I run. In 4-5 years I have acquired 550 followers, lol. I only follow 150 people.
I don't really care about followers though, unless it's someone I enjoy their posts, I don't follow back.

I've still yet to figure out instagram. It sounds easy... I got an account so I can get extra bonus entries on sweepstakes.

I just dont see the point to it. I have looked a couple of times when something took me there, seems like people already do that on Facebook so why do you need something else.

havent tried to use it so dont know much about it just use facebook.

I think people use Instagram more is just from the sheer fact that it's simpler to use. It has a better community feel to it from what I experienced.

I do not use Instagram. I only use Facebook and Twitter. That's all I use.

You'll get there start following people and they will fallow back. Then you'll get likes.

Instagram just depresses me. I have an account, but I never use it.

Social media is a big popularity contest. The joke? Often the people who get the most likes are the most anti-social ones around.

Oh yes, the beauty of the internet. That which does not make sense to me gets left behind and is long forgotten. I don't do Instagram and have absolutely no need for it. My husband's relatives came for a visit a couple of months ago and introduced us to Instagram. Needless to say, I ignored the presentation and focused on more important things. I may have been on Fusion Cash at the time. LOL ;)

That's a beautiful fact for sure. It's not just with Instagram but other online time wasters as well. It boggles my mind when I think of all of the silly things people do on computers. They should be here talking about more important things. LOL.
Oh well, that's just me - expressing my views on the matter.

I have an Instagram account, but I never post anything on it. I seldom visit my Instagram accounts.

One thing, you just started your account. It takes a while to build up a following. And Instagram was built around the whole idea of pictures. I agree that it's crazy people get so many likes for pictures like dinner, but pictures will always get more likes than the type of stuff you are posting.
