Have you even given blood at a Plasma Center? If so, how was our experience?
I have given plasma twice and I have passed out, tired,. I feel like the plasma centers should pay people who donate more money, but it feels good to know your plasma has saved someone's life.

I have donated before and it was a good experience. With all the money in the world and the amount that celebrities make, I think they should pay donor more money too.

I have never been to a plasma center. I always think I should, because when my mother was going through chemo & near the end, she received plasma & it helped to make her stronger.... I've forgotten about it truthfully, I'll have to see if I can donate. I hear it takes hours the first time.... is that true?
I'm going to put it on my things to do list for this month & make time, it's for a good cause. :)

I have tried to but did not have a good experience with it so I have not been back.

I've never been to a Plasma center. I had a friend that used to go regularly though.

i have heard of some here donating plasma..have never done so myself...we had a clinic open up not far from my house a couple of months ago

I am a regular whole blood donor and have never donated only plasma. I am actually scheduled to make a blood donation in about 6 hours from now. For those who have done both whole blood and plasma donations - how do the actual experiences differ? I've heard that plasma donations take much longer.

Giving blood is a sin just like drinking it.

Well, my father lived a few extra years thanks to those sinners and that allowed me to spend a little bit of extra time with him that I otherwise wouldn't have had. So, I decided last year to do my part and give up a pint every couple of months.

My uncle gained extra time by being at a hospice yet he still suffered and died from cancer.Quality of life not quantity. Ppl not dying easily anymore is one big reason why we have 7 billion plus destroying Eden.

I give platelets as i never seem to qualify to give plasma. I dont get cash directly but earn points that can be redeemed for gift cards etc. I too feel good as i help cancer victims

I haven't gotten desperate enough for money that I was would willingly get stuck by a needle. A friend tried to convince me to go with her though.

What about dropping your seed to make money hand over fist ?

I did many many years ago. I honestly didn't like it because the wait time was extremely long. I was there for 8 hours total.

Did it back in the 80's....actually helped me pay for a big 4 door '76 Buick Electra 225.... :in-love:
You can make up to $400 a month in my area for just donating 2 days a week but I just haven't been able to psych myself up to do it............ ::)

Wonder what some ppl won't sell for the love of money. Some humans have gone from hunter/gatherers for survival- to selling blood and their children for cash for cars,guns,clothes... Messed up that some ppl are devolving in this day and age..

We may be talking about two different things here, I guess. But at one point, my father was losing blood internally and they could not immediately pinpoint the source of loss. He had several other health issues which eventually took his life - ultimately dying from another malady unrelated to the blood loss. But had he not received any blood when he was having the internal bleeding issue, he would have died much sooner from a condition which was preventable. Regardless of your opinion - that gift of blood saved his life. It didn't prolong his suffering through a worthless life.
When the time came, upon further complications from other issues, he and my mother made the decision for him to go home from the hospital, bring in home hospice care, and die peacefully. I do not believe that his doctors' decision to give him blood donated from generous souls in any way contributed to the destruction of Eden.

My daughter did a few times when she was in college for extra spending money.
