Did I get a virus? I got notice from Windows 10 that there were new updates. So I did the updates. I got worried when I saw "HI" on the blue screen and thought it was strange. Then I got a blue screen asking for which country keyboard I was using....then did I want Windows Rollback or Windows 10 or Turn Off PC. Chose the Rollback. Nothing. Blank screen except for recycle bin which doesn't do anything. Windows icon on taskbar didn't do anything. Shut it down the old fashioned way. Restarted same thing. Clicked on Windows 10. it ran for a while then same blank screen. This time, no internet, no audio. Fixed audio, but no internet. Went into F2. Nothing changed there.
Don't understand it. Today, started it. Windows password screen came up but again, blank screen. I don't know what to do.
Anyone have/had this problem and how did you solve it???? The laptop is "almost" new. Only had Avast, Malwarebytes and my genealogy program on it plus bookmarks for most common sites.
This is certainly not my month for electronics!! >:(

My updates happen automatically. The prompt to update may not have come from Windows. I assume you are not using the computer now that is having the problem? Doesn't make sense. Sounds more like a virus. If you can get it to come on long enough to run any apps try to get to your virus protection and do a scan.
I clicked a link the other night and got that one that talks to you said "warning your computer is infected with blah blah " I shut that window immediately. It tells you to click the link below to do a scan and when you do you download their virus. I cleared cookies and done a scan with MY virus protection and it didn't find anything.

I have been on computers 25 years. Have learned a lot the hard way.
Make sure you are doing legit updates. If you "smell a rat", go to the Microsoft site and find out if it is legit. You can email administrators.
Keep CNET community/discussion group in your "go to " sources.
There are a lot of crazy schemes out there, and they get more and more "creative" to steal your info.
