I just couldn't get it back to normal after that last Windows 10 update. Three weeks I tried to straighten it out but nothing. I can't afford it but I can't afford to watch videos that freeze and jump around like the old days of DSL modems. Can't take the freezing and crashing of my XP either, but the desktop is from 2003. I can't afford another one.
Anyway, took it to the only shop that works on regular people's computers (only one other one in the area and he's mostly business computers). The minute the guy came to wait on me, he was the spitting image of my cousin (that I rarely see). Yep, he's my cousin's son. I had hoped for a little friendly discount...maybe I will get it....but the work order statement is charging me $100!!!! I figured around $50-$ 60 because when I had it to another place to put Windows 7 on it, that was the cost. Now I have to figure out where to get that extra $50. We shall see what happens.

That really sucks...hope you can get the friends/family discount... and that they can fix it for you. Good luck@

My goodness that's expensive. When you get it back, get busy on fusion and make that money.

Windows 10 updated on my office computer Sunday night and I am having severe issues with our accounting program. Have been working on it two days now and it still isn't fixed.

Sorry for the problems you're having with your laptop, hope it will get resolved.

I know how you feel, my broke down last year; had to buy another.

I don't know how much you originally paid for your computer, how old it is, or what the brand or condition is other than what you stated, but be careful how much you pay to get it fixed. You can get a pretty decent new one or refurbished one nowadays for about $300-$350 or so. What for sales, check Ebay, Groupon, and other such sites. Don't pay too much for a fix if they contact you, by chance, and tell you more than $100!

That sucks, fingers crossed for you that its not too much work and $$$
