Title: Did You Ever Make Up a Word for Fun?
Post by: Cbsteffen on June 08, 2018, 10:12:06 pm
I once made up “Shengladu” as an interjection for an insult or to deal with personal problems.

I can't distinctly remember any specific words, but I know that there is an improv game I have played where you spell and define fake words given by the audience. It's stupid, but fun.

I have a friend who fled to Canada with her family for safety from the government where they lived.

Being in Canada, she was fluent in French.  I had 6 years of French in high school and college.

We met when we both worked at the same company. Instant friends.  We would take little walks on our breaks, and speak in English and French.

We invented a word in "French-eze", and it is still ours today. She lives on the opposite side of the country now, but we email and always include out little faux-French wish for the other to be well and happy.

Can you share it with me when you do think of it?

Not only do I make up my own words but I have my own personal language.  It sounds like Yittish Gibberish.

Typically I can only use sentences one time because I have no earthly idea what I said, so I can't repeat.  The only thing I will say is this: No one will ever want to hear what it all translates too; it isn't pretty.   ;)
