Title: energy drinks
Post by: Azanne07 on July 11, 2018, 11:36:03 am
whats your favorite way to keep your body awake and make it through the day.

monster doesn't have much of an effect on me anymore well the stuff that comes in the cans

but the monster coffee that seems to do the trick and gets me through the night on my 3rd shifts.

sadly my body doesn't take much and they stop working after awhile.

sometimes I take stackers

I never touch energy drinks. I do drink a ton of ice cold water though.  It always seems to pick me up when I'm feeling sluggish

I've only ever tried Red Bull and 5-Hour, and they were both disgusting. I don't know how people can drink that stuff, and it's unhealthy anyway. I drink black coffee with a bit of stevia.

Yes there are downfalls and health risks but for me after being awake for 20 hours running on 3.5 hours of sleep

The question is what drink will allow me to safely make it home

I have never drank any of them. They didn't even sound good, and not good for you either. I don't even drink soda pop and have not  for 60 years.  Never drink sugar in my  one glass of tea a day or my one cup of coffee. Never  been much of a  coffee drinker anyway. But one  cup  wakes me up and that is all I need . Iced water is the best way to go in my book. Don't drink liquor either, Not saying I never did because I did. But  stopped it.

Yep! I am hoping once we move closer to work and I have less of a drive my dependency will go down. Driving makes me tired so lack of sleep plus driving isn’t the best but after a year and a half I think I have it figured out.

Also if I exercise right before I leave. I clean a gym. That seems to help some

After a long day, first church, then going to get my meds, then Wal-Mart, hair store, gas station, McDonalds, then home, I had an energy drink, just a half a can, didn't finish it, threw the rest away, after I realized what they can do to your body.

My body has some dependence which sucks the longer I am at this job  the less effective the drinks are. Energy coffees are a little more effective

I recently tried the monster coffee just last week while doing a cleanse.  I didn't have an eshot on hand so figured since I was already breaking the rules on my cleanse with the purchase of an RX protein bar I'd also sway with the monster coffee.  It tasted great.  Gave me the energy I needed but the nutrition in it was ghastly.  The eshot has been the best for results and nutrients although I've only had the raspberry and the flavor was ugh... GROSS! Might be better if mixed with a shake but drinking it straight was like taking raspberry cough medicine.  Although I'd do it again since the result was what I asked for.  But would definitely mix it in something.  Maybe even coffee.

I don't drink much caffeine anymore because I try not to aggravate my a-fib too much.  I do still drink some coffee and tea but I get decaf, sugar free pop.

Never tried an "energy" drink,  I would rather have my caffeine from tea (Iced or hot depend on the season) and give me some nuts (something like dark chocolate covered almonds)
.

It literally hurts me to read this.  I use to drink Red Bulls a decent amount when I was younger and when I was drinking.  That had a lot to do with me having a heart attack at the age of 28.  And I was lucky.  I lived.  Not everyone who drinks those energy drinks do.

Lemon with water or any infused fruit in my water. Some times coffee with stevia and almond milk. Energy drinks are poison and so toxic for your body. No Bueno!

Ice water, the colder the better.  I always slash some on my face then have a glass.  I don't use energy drinks but my younger brother working two jobs and in most cases only has about an hour sleep uses 5hr energy.  For him, he says it works.

e-shots are made by a company called Isagenix.  You can buy them from a company rep...think pampered chef/partylite type of purchase.

I'm not a fan of energy drinks, the few I've tasted were gross and I don't like things that make me jittery. My daily cup of morning joe is good enough for me.

My energy drink is coffee.  I have tried several of the popular so-called energy drinks and, in general, I don't like the taste.
I also sip them because of the taste and have been told I need to drink them much faster to feel the effects.  I have decided to take a pass on regular energy drinks because I enjoy coffee too much to switch to Red Bull or Monster or such!

I've never liked the taste of coffee, but I do like some of the mixed drinks at Starbucks. They're just so expensive. Who spends $6 on a cup of coffee. It's definitely a treat for me, but I do get Starbucks from time to time.
