Anyone ever have a water challenge? My daughter went through one for a month and lost 10 pounds. She drank nothing but water for a month - no sodas, juice, milk, just water.
-
I have never done a water challenge but has just try drinking water with cucumber in it. It's supposed to be a cleanse type drink. I'll give it a week or so and see what happens.
-
never tried but i do like my water which helps me with my soda drinking
-
Me too. I try drinking less other drinks and just driknk water.

Hello! :D :)
Yes, I actually am on my own water challenge. However, it doesn't consist of losing weight whether just sustaining a happier healthier lifestyle. Feel free in joining me in my challenge. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

Don't that was a good idea, even though loosing that much weight in a month is good, but our bodies are made with water, and not putting at some calories in is not all good, depriving your body of certain nutrients is essential for daily living. She may experience some pains when she does start back putting food in her body. I wouldn't advise anyone to do that, everyone's body don't react the same.

I have a question, did you change the way you eat during this challenge or was it just the drinking you changed? Thanks in advance for the info.
-
I have been trying to drink more water. I have cut out the soda pop. Now to get weaned off the sweet tea.
-
I've gone about two weeks and then water starts tasting bland. I might try the fruit in the water and see how that goes. It's definitely worth a try.
Congrats to your daughter for her dedication and payoff.

She ate food too right? Anyone will loose weight (and likely get sick or die) if they have nothing but water for a month. Drinking 1/2 your body weight in oz of water daily is the way to go, I have found. For those that drink juice, alcohol, soda, coffee's with lots of sugary things added to it and even teas that drop all that stuff and go to just water... well yeah they'll loose weight. Hope she's also getting nutrients through a healthy food source.

I've heard of this, but with my health issues, I doubt I should try it. I do know that water is a natural appetite suppressant.
-
It might work as a weight loss for people who have high caloric drinks to give up and simply drink water instead. I drink very few things other than water, so eliminating the beer isn't going to result in a 10 pound weight loss.
-
I did three day water fast some years ago. I felt really good at the third day. I wasn't doing it to lose weight. I didn't eat anything just drank water.
-
Water is really good for you, as long as she still get other nutritional food.
-
I've never heard of the water challenge, i'd be curious to try it, but I can't give up coffee- black coffee - in the morning.... I'm an addict & I love it. Part of my morning routine.
I've heard that drinking nothing but water does wonders one's skin. Did your daughter happen to mention that her skin, complexion, looked any different after drinking only water?
-
Oh, she ate food. She only changed what she drank for a month. Water was her only beverage.

I sincerely wish that no one would ever take such a water challenge. That would mean they weren't drinking much water before the challenge and that they won't be drinking water after the challenge. I only drink water. All of the time. For years now and years to come. I drive 4 hours about once a month to get me water from a spring. Anything we can drink other than water is terrible for our health.
-
I usually drink juice or milk but I'm trying to drink more water. I can't imagine going on an all water diet even for three days I'd go nuts.
-
I have never heard of the challenge but it should be easy for me because I mostly drink water as my needed beverage.
-
 :star:  I've tried to drink just water, I only make it for a few days, then I have to drink something else. I love water, but I need a bit more caffeine drinks that keeps me going for the day! :star:
-
I generally don't drink anything but water, with the exception of gatorade tea and oj here and there
-
I've never heard of this challenge. I drink mostly water anyways, and stopped drinking soda years ago. Don't think I could go a whole month without having at least fruit juice. Need some flavor sometimes :-\
-
I only drink water , no soda and coffee my system can't take it. Can't sleep if I drink them.
-

Oh well some people do crazy stuff like not eating anything or only drinking something crazy like juice or whatever. Yeah you will loose weight but you are also doing damage to your body. The way you said it I wasn't sure. :D

Not really. Once you get use to drinking more water then you will likely continue to do so.
And not everything you drink is terrible for you. Milk is quite healthy. And so are 100% juices. Just don't drink the whole bottle in one sitting.
I use to have a neighbor that drank 1-2 of the 2 liter Pepsi's every day. I assume he still does. I don't know. His wife told me about it. He doesn't live her any longer and she has died so I don't know much about him any more.
-
I am trying to drink more water, because it is good for you.
-
I drink water daily.
-
Sounds like a normal diet.
-
Boy that is hard for me to do. I have to have my Starbucks. Hopefully she is doing good with maintaining her weight.
-
I drink a lot of water, and stopped drinking soda many years ago... but still have juice and coffee regularly.
-
Only use water to less the sweetness in sugary juices & sodas.
-
Water to loose weight rather than gain weight? Hmm... Nope. I haven't really done either.
-
I never tried a water challenge, but given I do not drink enough anyway, I think it would benefit me. I want to try it, but I feel I will not be motivated enough to see it through.
-
thats about all i drink...a diet soda every now and then...i done something similar one time...nothing but water with everything...didnt lose weight but i wasnt as bloated...
-
I can't keep up with all the challenges but this sounds like a good/healthy one.
-
I've gotten good on drinking more water than other beverages. People don't realize how much sugar/calories are in drinks.
-
Never done it and never plan to do something like that.
-
I use to think water made us gain weight too but I've found the opposite to be true.

Yeah, I got rid of a lot of microbes by drinking bottled water once. Right now, bottled water might have special microbes in it. I do not know. Some might be good, some might be bad. It might depend on your chemical levels in the stomach and such.
-
I didn't realize it was called the water challenge, but I have heard about the trend. I'm not sure I could personally do it, but I am trying to cut back on sugary beverages so I can drink more water instead.
-
I've never done a water challenge but I am trying to drink 2 8 ounce glasses of water before breakfast, lunch and dinner while also cutting back on portions...hoping it'll help me lose a few pounds!
-
Drinking water really helps! No fats- no carbohydrates and no calories.
It really works!
