Title: Butter Cream or Whipped Cream?
Post by: WizDot on August 10, 2018, 07:52:09 pm: I prefer eating butter cream on most cakes. I only use whipped cream when I add fruit toppings.

Post by: debidoo on August 11, 2018, 11:34:36 am: Definitely butter cream - one of the local restaurants where I live has really good cakes however one of my favorites (coconuty) is made with whipped cream and I have no use for that lol. However they have a really good carrot cake and it is buttercream thank goodness.

I'm this way as well. Some toppings are just better on certain types of food. My sister is a baker and her homemade buttercreams and whipped creams are the best.

I did have a good whipped cream frosting on a high priced cake I purchased for a graduation last minute - so they couldn't change it to butter cream - it was quite tasty and light. I imagine that it is all dependent on quality of the butter cream or whipped cream.
