Post by: NRAJOE on August 20, 2018, 12:40:30 pm
Went to turn in $57.50...said I've made $600 with that cash out and have to submit online 1099.
Tried 3 times but it wouldn't take....had to submit a ticket to customer service.

You don't submit a 10-99.  That is what they send you at the end of the year.  YOU submit a W-9 to Fusion Cash.

lol.  I thought maybe you were submitting the wrong thing and that could have been the problem.

It good to know that FC stays on top of it.

Well of course, if they pay you more than $600 and they do not send a 10-99 they can get in trouble.

A 1099 is something that someone who pays you has to submit because anytime you earn $600 in a year from the same source has to be taxable.

Do a lot of people make 600 on here in a year? I have a hard time making it past 200.

I don't think they do.  The ones that do I think have a lot of referrals that cash out every month.  I have 3 and one cashed out once and never came back to the site.  Two signed up and then have never even clicked the link to confirm their email. :(

I can only speak for myself, but I'll be getting my third 1099 by the end of this year assuming all goes 'according to Hoyle' (as the old saying goes in reference to Edmond Hoyle's book on card games 🃏).  I've hit the $600+ mark two years in a row because I made FusionCash a priority.

I have the last 2 years and also reached the limit this year.  Good thing you only have to submit the W9 unless you information changes.  Really did not make a difference in our income

I always keep track of how much I make on FC so that I can stay under $600 so that I would not have to fill out a w-9 form.

I make sure to stay under the $600 because I don't want to do all that extra paperwork.

You might well try to get it from here: https://1099-misc-form.pdffiller.com/ (https://1099-misc-form.pdffiller.com/) it's paid, but you can get a short-time free trial for the first use. Come in use with cases when you can't edit a 1099-MISc submitted to you

Why would you do that when you can go to IRS site and download a W9.... ???

I have only had to submit a 1099 once and i went to the IRS site and downloaded it. And mailed it in to the place that needed it.

That's not how it works.

I do not see the comment you are replying to because I was going to reply to it BUT you had better not ever EDIT a 10-99 that is sent to you.  The one sending it also sends it to the government.  They have to match up.  And if you get caught editing it to make the amount smaller so you pay less taxes you will be fined out the wazoo and possible get some jail time.  If people are so scared of paying taxes they need to make sure to stay under the $600 mark or work with sites and companies that do not turn it in unless it goes over $600.

Some secret shopper sites you have to provide a SS# before you take the first assignment. The problem is you pay taxes on what you earn plus the money you are reimbursed which is not fair.  I will be getting a 10-99 from one site this year.  We downloaded the paper from the IRS site and I filled it out and mailed it in to the company asking for it.

:menorah:   :santa:   :snowflake:  I've been with Fusion Cash for years and I haven't made over $600 yet to this day. Which for me filing taxes makes life much easier for me. Any tax person can help you with the 1099. :menorah:   :santa:   :snowflake:

If you get a 1099 every year, that means you are doing awesome on FC.

You do not need help.  I wonder if people even know what a 10-99 is.  It is the exact same thing as getting the W2 from your employer at the end of the year except there are no taxes taken out so you will pay them when you file at the end of the year.  And if it is a consistent thing with earnings you are suppose to pay every quarter.  And if you do not you can be fined.  I know a local business that pays employees the total amount and doesn't take out taxes. You pay your own and you file it quarterly. I think the employees are all contract labor. Not sure.

Not really.  $600 isn't that much money.  That would only be $50 a month.

I may have called it the wrong thing earlier.  :D  Some people get too bent out of shape trying to correct others.  (Not saying you do:D)  Whatever the form is I knew at the time what they wanted because they asked for a specific thing.  I only had 10 days to get the info to them.  I went and downloaded it and sent it in.

Congrats to those of you that make $600 or more.  I don't have to worry about a W-9 or anything else because of the small amount that I earn.

Some sites if you earn $1 they require a SS because they turn it in.  I applied for a position with a secret shopper company (and before anybody says it YES they are legit and YES they are real and NO it isn't a scam) and they require a SS# when you sign up before you go on your first assignment.  I know a guy who has worked for this company for several years.  I talked to them but decided I did not want to sign up and provide all the info they wanted.  Esp when you do not even know if you will get an assignment.  Your location is a big factor when working for these companies.  There are suppose to be quite a few jobs about an hour from where I live but who wants to drive that far.  And I have heard they will use any little thing they can to keep from paying you.  Although the guy I know always gets paid with no issues.

It is if you don't average $50 a month on here. I know a lot of people that achieve the cash out minimum in 3 months. It just depends on how much effort you put in every month.
