I put my cooked potatoes through my ricer, add some butter and milk then just stir them, adding a little more milk as needed to make them a nice creamy texture.

I use a masher. I add milk, pepper, and butter to mine. Depending on who will be eating them, I  may add garlic. Then smother it with gravy.

I normally use a potato masher and add milk, butter and sour cream sometimes cheese.  It all depends upon the mood I'm in and what I have a taste for.   :) :) :) :)

Mash by hand and add some cream and butter. Really the only trick to making them better is how much butter you're willing to put in. If there wasn't our health to worry about I'd probably be eating butter with a little potato in it lol

Haven't made mashed potatoes or cooked anything for that matter in ages although I love mashed potatoes. When I do make them I add a little milk and some real butter and mix them up with a hand mixer.  Now I am craving mashed potatoes.  yum

I save some of the water the taters were boiled in.  Then when I mash em I use the water, butter, salt n' pepper and sometimes a splash of sour cream.. if I any left over from taco night.  Speaking of... sometimes instead of using a taco shell we'll use baked potatoes and have idaho taco's.

I have a hand mixer and a  potato masher, but a lot of times I just use a fork.  Not many of us around that know how to do it anymore.  I laughed so hard at my grand son when he saw me doing it.  He  ask me ( grandma are you poor . )  Had to tell him that  it was the  way  my grandma used to do it. He just couldn't understand how it works with out a hand mixer. Kids now a days just don't  get it sometimes.

:bunny:   :cat:   :dog:  I use a hand mixer. If I don't feel like using that I use a fork to mash the potatoes. I butter, milk and sometimes a bit of sour cream for taste. Salt and pepper can be added to each persons liking.  :bunny:   :cat:   :dog:
