Title: Weird occurrences you never found an explanation for?
Post by: pectacon on October 10, 2018, 09:17:14 am
I love hearing stories of small unexplained things. Not like ghost stories, just everyday odd things that probably have a very mundane explanation but it bugs you that you may never know what it was.

Once I dropped a screwdriver and it was like it vanished from existence. Nowhere to be found. There were no gaps or anywhere nearby that I ever figured out it could be hiding. I didn't even drop it from more than a foot off the ground. It still bothers me.

In the house that I used to live in.....every now and then I'd hear a noise and unlock the attic door....my cat would come down the attic stairs......I never figured out how she always got up there....I don't live there anymore   but I still wonder. :o :o :o

After my husband passed a lot of weird stuff happened but the weirdest and most unexplained was my son spaced his dad's large oxygen tanks 4 of them apart on the carpet so they couldn't hit each other if they fell.  I woke up the night after he passed and heard four metallic clanks and went to look and all four of the tanks had fallen and not one of them was closest enough to each other to have banged into each other.

When unexplained occurrences happen, I  just try and see if if there is a message in it for me, some things are just hard to explain.

Yes! It has happened to me. My automobile- I parked it here.
When I come back is not there. The towing company did not
move it...then who moved it? Where is it now? Now you see it,
now you do not! What happened? It just drives me crazy!

Not that this is weird but when I was 8 years old my brother bought me a pair of teddy bear stud earrings when he was stationed in Europe.  I'd lost one.  Years later my then husband and I moved into the same house I was living in at 8 years old.  He tore up the bathroom linoleum and trim... he found my little earring.  I have the pair together once again.  Very special since my brother is no longer with us.

In the same house I had a stencil.  Purchased from a store that specialized in stencils... so for some flimsy plastic it was a pricey item for me.  I never used it and tucked it in a safe place to use for a painting business someday.  I moved out of that house in 2005.  Mom still owns it but the stencil has never turned up.  Probably behind paneling or something crazy like that.

I used to work alone overnight. There were other people in the building but no one else on my floor. Once, alone in the room, I was sitting at my computer and a lamp suddenly fell off a shelf across the room. Another time I went to the ladies' room. No one in there but me, but one of the stall doors slammed shut while I was in there. I checked to see if someone else came in, but nope. Weird. I don't think I believe in ghosts, but I don't know what would've caused those things to happen. If there were ghosts there, I wonder what happened to them. That building was torn down to build condos.
