Kemore, whirlpool or Frigidare all good brands for refridgerator. Kenmore products do seem to last a long time there still built the same made to last

really depend what price range you are looking for.  LG, Samsung or GE

We always had GE appliances and were very satisfied with them.  When we moved a few years ago we got all new appliances as we left the others in our house our daughter was going to live in.  I had heard that LG were really good appliances and the salesman really talked them up.  Well, I really would not recommend them to anyone!  The microwave is the only thing I've been satisfied with and it doesn't have a timer on it like our old one did.  The stove isn't too bad but the dishwasher doesn't do a good job and the refrigerator has several issues.

I've owned kenmore and fridgedaire.  Both very reliable.  Although nothing stands the test of time the the old ones they had when I was growing up as a kid.  i've been in a few rentals that have off brand fridges.  There was only one apartment where it was getting replaced regularly... but that was everyone in the area.  There was a high content of something in the well water... no sulfur but something else.  It was so high it had some affect on the copper pipping in appliances.  At least that's what a long time resident of the town told me anyhow.

I shopped for refrigerators 3x in my life; I will get to go shopping for another one soon, darn-nit $; and of course, thinking about the electric bill next the unit's depreciation. Honestly, the refrigerators that has the different compartment/doors with a good seal, these parts you are not going to believe: 1.The filtered water unit/spout should be inside a different compartment/door; 2. Nowadays, if you need a freezer, it should be made to benefit the whole refrigerator unit, because some don't! (Maybe a separate freezer unit might be the best even if you need a small unit); 3. A compartment that gets opened regularly is important. Remember the star label is important, or look into that solar panel's for running a refrigerator. I know they have the whole house water heaters with the solar panels which makes it one unit is out there.

I have never had to buy a refrigerator because my houses always had the appliances in them when I bought them.  I have had a Kenmore and a GE.  Both were good.

We had a Kenmore for 30 years but I won't buy Kenmore since Sears is going bankrupt.  We have a frigidaire now.  It has been a good one, so far.

Depends on the features you want.  I got the cheapest one at Lowe's.  It does a good job.  Pretty much anything at Lowe's or Home Depot will be a good one.
