Title: Snow
Post by: melodylogan45 on November 08, 2018, 04:04:25 am
I am not ready for snow. The news have been  talking about snow coming this week or weekend.

It means getting up even earlier than I already do to drive  to work and I work further from home than early this year.

Yes, they are calling for snow flurries in our area this weekend.  So not ready for the wintery weather!  I have a wedding to go to Saturday and was hoping for fabulous weather.

:turkey:   :snowman:   :turkey:  I'm unsure where your located, which its okay that I don't, but it's this time of the year that snow starts to fall. Hoping you have safe travels from where you live to work though.  :turkey:  :snowman:  :turkey:

I can't live in a state where there is always snow, here in GA, we don't have snow like that, GA is a great state.

We are not expecting snow for awhile but I'm not anxious for it.

Thankfully, just flakes in the mid-west.

My recently immigrated (from Florida) two grown grand-kids are dreading it as they work, and will have to drive in it.

I am in "charge" of reassuring them it will be "ok"

We have already had snow in Colorado. The mountains got like 4 feet over the weekend. I am not ready for it either.

I live in Michigan and am not a fan of snow.  I lived two winters in states where there was no snow and surely didn't miss it!  But here i am and since income and my children play a part in probably remaining here, I have to put up with the stuff!

I'm so not ready for snow! I've had my fill of shoveling and battling icy walks and roads.  >:(  I work close to where I live so I can walk there if I need to.  My supervisor used to joke that I could just sled down the hill from my house to work.  :snowman: :snowman:

I understand how you folks that get snow all the time don't enjoy it.  I live in SC and snow is rare here.  All I ever wish for is one good snow a year.   A bit early to start hoping for it now but I will all winter.

I don't know if I'm ready for snow or not but I hear it's coming next week we have a really great chance of having our first snow as long as it's not really bad the first snow is always so beautiful

I don't mind the snow as much as  the bitter cold.  It is suppose tonight here but only really be on the grass as they say the sidewalks are still to warm to keep it there.

I have not heard about any snow in my area.  We have been having temperatures in the 70's for the past week which is not usual.  I do that we are suppose to get colder temps.

Some parts of my state got hit with "golf ball size snowflakes," according to the local news station. But where I live it lightly snowed and didn't stick. We'll see how this weekend goes.

I miss snow. Unfortunately, I recently moved to the South, so the likelihood of snowing is extremely low. :( Thankfully, the move is only temporary.

Snow last night and this morning.

I have always loved snow, but this year....as I am almost 76....not so much.

I am the one who cleans off the car, carefully treads the wet, slippery sidewalk, and goes to the store in it.

It is still beautiful, but not quite as much fun :)

We had our first snow Thursday/Friday. News reports said there were over 350 accidents. Everyone forgets how to drive every single year. I don't mind the snow, but it's only 15°F right now and that's way too cold for the beginning of November.

None of our first snow was enough to stick to roads

We have a dusting of snow on the ground here in southwestern Minnesota.  I'm like dsosnowski, it isn't the snow that I mind so much as the cold.  It is supposed to reach 21 degrees today.  However, with the wind it feels like 2 degrees.

Unfortunately, it is getting cold enough to snow even by the water. Hope it stays away to January.I know wishful thinking :pumpkin: :rainbow: :peace:

I am a California sissy...I do not like the cold and I hate the snow if I have to go anywhere.  I like to watch it fall, but then I am done with it.  LOL  It is about 72 here today and I am chilly!

I would love to see a good snowfall in Tennessee.  We rarely have more than an inch or two.  I took a poll earlier today about my feelings toward snowfalls. The poll showed that 12% of all people taking the poll are already experiencing snow falls. I can't imagine what it feels like to live where snow sticks around for weeks or months.  I'm sure it would NOT be nearly as inviting as it is to someone like me who has little experience with it.

Snow certainly makes the drive into work a lot LONGER.... It's that time of season so I guess I just have to deal with it. UGH. It will be a long few months of fall/winter.

I do not want it to snow, it is pretty but such a hassle to try and get out if you have to go somewhere. I worry about my kids driving in it.

We got  our first snow in 560 days. 9 inches. But it is already melting outside. But there will plenty of ice overnight. Because it will get down to 20 degrees. Looked out the door this morning  and our neighbor and a couple of men he hired were shoveling theirs and ours and my neighbor. Hubby always waits for  a time  until  after it warms up to do ours and the neighbor lady next to us. So nice of  him to  do them so I baked him a chocolate cake and had hubby take it to him. Hum  maybe  he will do it again.

It started snowing Saturday night around eight and finished up at about eleven this morning. I live in Colorado. The snow only measured about two inches and was gone from the roads by three this afternoon. Many people stayed home today and the drive in was a bit crazy but it made for an easy ride home because there was no traffic. Our furnace went out on Friday, I tried to fix it on Friday and Saturday but could not get parts on Sunday, Temperatures, with the snow, dropped to about twenty degrees outside and I would think it was down to around thirty degrees inside the house. I was working till about nine last night but my computers started to slow down, I thinkk\, because of the cold. I stacked extra blankets on my bed and toughed it out.

I live in South Florida, and would  to see snow! I don't want to bogged down in it. Just a light snow with flakes falling gently.
