I have ordered some toys and received them. I like to play with them before giving them at Christmas..you know, just to make sure they work okay.

I've ordered a few things.  I love Amazon but a bit upset.  I've been a prime member for years and for me, it's always been a bargain because I use Amazon a lot, however, they recently have decided to give everyone free shipping for Christmas.  While those getting it the shipping time will be a few days longer than Prime members I still feel like Prime members should have received some type of compensation.   Still love Amazon and am happy for those folks who aren't Prime members.

So far I have ordered some hair products that are difficult to find in the  store.

I ordered from one company back in October. The sent 1 of the 3 items I paid for.  Then when I called them I get the run around and they finally say they will ship the other 2 items "I SAY" I did not receive....

Are you calling me a liar here?

Then it took almost a month to get the other 2 items.  It wasn't Amazon. Never had too much of an issue with them.

Yes, I've started my Christmas shopping with them. It's just so much more pleasant to shop online than go to a crowded store. I'll probably do all my Christmas shopping online.

I've started Christmas Shopping on Amazon just the other day - as I was informed that Amazon has begun it's Black Friday sale early.   I ordered a FIRE 10 Tablet -> normally $149 - sale price $99. :)
I also purchased, just today, STOK caffeine shots... can't wait, I need more caffeine in my coffee for some extra alertness during this holiday season.  :)

Haven't shopped yet but I'm sure I will.  My kids put the grandkids suggestions on there and it makes shopping so much easier.  I don't shop enough to warrant the expense of their Premier account though.

Yeah, but I prefer to buy things for people whenever I notice them throughout the year, maybe hang onto some for birthdays etc but mostly I just give them at random.

To me, it means much more to receive a little "hey it's a random tuesday in May and I saw this thing I thought you'd like" gift than an "it's December 23rd and I'm panicking so here's some generic thing you'll never use because it's mandatory" gift.

Discover usually does every last quarter of the year, and you can bet your cashback I take advantage! hahaha :glasses-nerdy:

I have ordered stuff for myself from Amazon but have not started Christmas shopping yet.

My sister and nieces all have Amazon so they let me know what it is that they found on Amazon that they want and I order it.  It makes shopping a whole lot easier.

Amazon will be my primary shopping venue. This will be my third year of not going to any brick and mortar stores, dealing with parking, getting scuffled around by mad rushes of rude Christmas shoppers, putting miles on my car, wasting gas, dealing with inadequate inventory, and everything else that November and December have come to embody for so many people. We still have to go to the grocery store but, believe me, if I could find a way that met my finicky needs would be a thing of the past as well. Our grocery store workers are getting over thirteen dollars an hour which, to me, is pretty crazy. My day time company pays interns eighteen dollars an hour and these students have to have a grade point average greater than three point two percent. The interns are investing in themselves for a small amount more (in wages) than those who have invested nothing in themselves.

I've actually ordered gift items for friends in the UK from Amazon.co.uk (gift cards in £), but none for my US friends or family from Amazon.com yet.

I actually did a lot of my Christmas shopping on eBay last year. Great prices, some much better than Amazon, on new products!

I love Amazon. Just yesterday my wife comes into my computer room where I am working, carrying her laptop to show me what she wants for Christmas. It was a hot air deep fryer that makes french fries with no oil and I had it ordered in two minutes flat. One more thing off my mind for the next month.

I rarely use Amazon. My dad has Prime and almost always exclusively purchases from there, but I feel like a lot of the stuff isn't the best quality or is coming out of China (I prefer not to support China, for lots of reasons). My sister just tried to use her debit card on there for wishlist items an animal rescue had set up, and Amazon decided to wait a full week before trying to charge the card, and by then there wasn't enough left on it! I did hear 51% of shoppers will use Amazon for their holiday shopping, so I guess they've been getting a massive amount of traffic recently.

Not just for holiday shopping but because I can just order one item that I need at the time and not have to buy a bunch of it or other stuff to get free shipping.  I also love that you can get vastly different things from Amazon, one-stop shopping!

If this is the air fryer they work great and are so much healthier.  The basket is not that big but works well for 2 to 3 people. You can find lots of recipes online too .

On black friday I bought a new laptop and a tablet from amazon. I had $160.00 worth of free credit and used it along with my paypal earnings. I paid  zero out of pocket. I will build up my amazon credits again for next year.  :)

I sure have placed several Christmas orders with amazon (actually amazon smile, so my favorite charity will get a piece of the action too) and the stuff has arrived already too. I am an Amazon Prime member, so the free shipping usually makes that site the cheapest place to buy stuff that I can find.

I ordered one thing, a floor chair for hubby. He sits on the floor to watch TV using old pillows for his back and butt. I figure this might give him more support for his back.  This will be the first year I bought him something for Christmas in 5 years. Usually we don't exchange gifts anymore. We both have everything we every wanted...well, I always want something but never tell him because I forget and don't really know what item would be more important. :)

Anyway, I got the floor chair in 3 days! That's been the usual delivery time here. I have never had a problem with them.

Thanks for answer, dsosnowski06. But I still wondered HOW they work. Here is an explanation that I found online:

It speedily circulates hot air around food to cook it quickly. While the air fryer has a removable basket like a deep fryer, instead of submerging the food into hot oil, the items in the basket are baked by the heat from air flowing around them.

Evidently, it's from circulating a whole lot of hot air. Just like me.  :silly:

You do coat the item (such as french fries) with a light coating of olive oil, but that is still a lot healthier than soaking them in it.
