Do you have a lot of vacation time to use before Dec 31st?
Or does your time roll over to the next year?
-
Mine rolls over, but I started a new job about 3 months ago, so I do not have too much and it will stay there for next year's vacation. My hubby does have to use his by the end of the year or loose it, so he will be taking about 2 weeks off at the end of the year, since his company provides a few extra holidays around Christmas he works around them and takes his rest of the days at the same time
-
Not much but some of my family members just took 1 week vacay and Im pretty jealous right now.
-
What is "vacation time"??? ??? When you work for yourself, there is no such thing :'(
-
My busy-body co-worker told me yesterday that I would lose my 4 weeks vacation and 2 weeks of sick days if I don't use them by the end of the year. She said "it's the rules". I told her I guess I would be off until next year if that is the case. My boss (who is the company owner) told me a couple of years ago that I could carry over my unused days whenever I wished.

I don't have a bunch of vacation time saved but, but I'm looking forward to the little I have.
-
Unfortunately I work part time so have no benefits. I am fortunate though in I am off from right now until next Tuesday. No pay, but Paradise for a few days on Sanibel Island! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
-
We cannot roll over any days and I still have a few left. Sounds like I might be taking some Tuesday's in December off to go Christmas shopping.
-
I am retired so I do not get vacation days anymore. I do have a part time job which I can go on vacation anytime I want to. However since my husband and I retired our full time jobs we do not have as much income therefore we may not take many vacations.
-
I have to use the remaining vacation time before the year ends or I'll lose them.
-
I have to use my accrued vacation time (Paid Time Off) hours before the end of the company's fiscal year. The fiscal year ended September 30.
I am able to "borrow forward" up to 40 hours from the coming year if I haven't accrued enough at the time of a requested paid time off day or days.
-
I still have 3 days left and will use it next week. Lost it if not used this year.
-
My vacation doesn't roll over. I have three days left that I'm going to take the beginning of the month then I have days off before and after those three days so starting next week I'll have 10 days off. Not sure I will go anywhere.
-
I'm retired but when I worked ours were not turned over but we were paid for any we did not take
-
I haven't had one in a long time. Cant afford it
-
I have had to burn five weeks pretty quickly as I am only allowed to carry eighty hours into the next year. I took five days off in October, five in November, have the last two weeks of December off and will take a day off hear and there over the next three weeks. I took off this Wednesday so that I can put in extra hours at my other job (a well paying project). I put in sixty hours at the other job last week. December is pretty busy for my second job so I am sure that I will be using vacation time from one job to work at the other. I think that I will work twelve hours on Wednesday and spend three hours working on my fifty two year old jeep. I want to re do all the wiring on my jeep and I need to replace an attachment bolt for my jeep's starter (may have to re thread).

Our vacation time correlates with our hire date. We have to use all our time by our anniversary or we "lose" it. And by lose it, it goes into a some disability bank or something. I never have enough time off, so I never lose my time.
-
I am almost retired, I have part time jobs.
-
I get 3 weeks and can only carry over a week
-
I wii be taking off this holiday from work....
-
My time rolls over until it reaches 360 hours then you just lose it or it goes to your sick time.
-
Mine rolls over, but I actually just sold some of mine back because they give me so much vacation time and I only like to use it if I'm actually on vacation.
-
before i retired (over10 years ago) I could rollover my vacation time to the next year. Fortunately, for me when they laid me off they paid my over 7 weeks for vacation time!
Most companies these days don't allow you to roll over vacation time anymore :pumpkin: :rose: :peace:
-
No I don't have a lot of vacation time but it doesn't roll over so I have to use the little I have or loose it.
-
I have quite a few vacation days. Unfortunately, where I work, it is a "use or lose" system. So if I have 60 days or more, I have until October 1st to use it all.
-
:menorah: :santa: :snowflake: I don't get a lot of vacation time, but a week per years not that bad. Better to have some vs none. Kinda nice to get away from the normal every day of the work week. :menorah: :santa: :snowflake:

I work in a school so my vacation time is dictated by that schedule :)
-
My vacation time can't roll anymore, it's a flat 365 days a year (except leap year).
-
Unfortunately, my current position does not offer paid vacation, but I'm hoping to have a job that does in 2019
-
I am enjoying my vacation right now, and now the time is coming to an end soooon..
-
Work, work and more work. I just cannot retire.
I take short vacations (weekends get away),
if the weather is in my favor.
-
I have zero vacation myself, I have only been working 4 months. I do get 4 hours pto time each month, which helps, but no vacation until August.
-
I cannot afford vacations
-
I can vacation 365 days a year because I'm retired but on Fusion Cash to make money to help pay for trips. :)
