Title: Wrapping Gifts after Christmas
Post by: Cbsteffen on December 23, 2018, 06:09:49 pm
Has there ever come a time when you haven't/hadn't been able to wrap any gifts until after Christmas Day (i.e., if you celebrate Christmas)? Because of a conflict with understanding a gift idea for my father, what I ordered him won't get delivered to me until after Christmas Day, so I won't be able to wrap it by a rather usual time.

Some years we don't even get together to celebrate Christmas until after Christmas Day has past.  This year we gather on January 5, so yes there are times when I don't get wrapping done until after Christmas Day.

I will this year because I have items coming that won't get here until Wednesday.

I suppose I have in years past.  This year I'm doing nothing more than Christmas cards and cash.  I do like to stock up on wrapping paper after Christmas though... tuck it aside for the next year.

I am sure that type of thing happens all the time.  Just give that person a card telling them their gift will be there soon.

I have never had that situation, but did put the wrong address on a family gift and they didn't receive it for a week.  All that time they were probably thinking I hadn't sent anything :'(

When you said that, I thought of my mom wrapping gifts for me for my birthday which is in the middle of January. When I was little, she would buy gifts for me for Christmas and then keep one or two for my birthday. :present:

I have but only if I wasn't going to see the person until after Christmas.  Like this year my brother was at his fiance's family's house for Christmas and they came to town a few days after Christmas.  I didn't wrap there presents until after Christmas.

I think we have had celebrations after Christmas if schedules make that happen.

It's still the thought that counts  :star:  The time doesn't matter; it's still close enough to the holiday.

:)    ;D    :)   I have wrapped gifts after Christmas Day, cause when you don't see a person till after a holiday than it's okay to wrap a gift for that person after Christmas Day. Which most years I don't do this, but certain years yes.  :)    ;D    :)

Doesn't matter when you wrap them it depends when you are going to give them.
