Does anyone have any house plants? I like to see house plants in the home. I realized that I really enjoy nature so I like the idea of bringing a little nature into the home.
-
;DIf I did ,I would be gladly to give you some free plants.
-
I have a lemon inside the house and money tree inside the house. Its pretty and adds life in the house.
-
last year and still now my herbs have grown like crazy and 3 bamboo plants. I don't know what I'll try this year.
-
Before we moved to the city, I had lots of house plants, now the house we stay in now we/ I don't have any.
-
I have one nice plant on a counter that my son's cat's can't get to because so many plants are toxic to them. They are old cats and when they pass I don't intend to have animals but I will have more plants. They are good for cleaning your inside air.
-
I love plants, I used to try to have as may as I could, but had to give up and admit that the humidity and light levels in my house are not enough for most of them. All I have is lots of pothos now, which puts up with a lot of abuse.
-
I do have some house plants in my house, but they are not looking so good right now. I just recently had surgery and haven't been able to take care of them they way they should be taken care of.
-
I love house plants and have many of them I have cut back recently and am down to watering 12 every week now
-
:monkey: It looks a jungle in my place
-
Front and back have plants planted From Tangerines,Tomatoes, Lemons. Pretty happy with what I have.
-
I don't have any plants inside. Every one I've ever had, died. So I just grow things outdoors now.
-
Just an aloe vera plant had it for several years. Has a few venus fly traps but they were hard to keep alive.

Does the lemon tree thing really produce any fruit? I have seen those before.
-
Yes! I have always had house plants. Now I keep most of them on our porch in Florida. They are also good for your home. Certain plants clean the indoor air!
-
I love house plants, I just counted I have 2 in hanging baskets, 7 in plant stands and 4 on 2 fireplace mantles.
-
i have no plants or any desire to have them
-
Nope, a couple of silk plants. I killed all the plants, even killed a cactus. Not that I have anything against plants just couldn't remember to water them. I just blame it on having the cats ans wanting to be safe. lol
-
I do but I always manage to kill them!
-
I need to start buying plants for my home definitely, heard good things about them.
-
sadly the lighting is not in the right places for my plants here. although when I was living in my apartment I had patio doors to the south and plants were every where also my dining room. My birds loved the plants. I would come home and open the curtains more and let them out and they were all over and around the plants. they stayed out for several hours unless I had company. I didn't want the little ones trying to catch the birds. Then we I put them back into the cage they would sing until covered. Don't have any more now. But am thinking about getting more but we are not always home and I would need a person to come and clean and feed every day and I don't want to bother anyone.
-
I love house plants but unfortunately there is not enough sunlight coming into my house to grow a lot.
-
I do have house plants inside and I even have fake flowers which I spray with a flowery scent so they smell.

If you don't have much sunlight, you can get a golden pothos. Those things are vampires that hate the sun. I had mine near a north facing window and it almost died. I moved it further back into my apartment away from all windows and it's doing great.
-
I don't have any.
-
I've always had plants in my home. I presently have some in my Kitchen and elsewhere.
-
As much as I would like to have live plants in my house I stick to the fake kind. My mom and sister inherited the green thumbs in the family .. I, however, did not. I kill them all off.
-
I have two Christmas cacti and two african violets. I also have three pepper plants I'm trying to keep alive to plant in the garden when it warms up and the snow melts...probably in July. LOL. I used to have around 15 houseplants, but it gets burdensome because they all have different lighting, watering requirements.
-
I love live plants in a home but I am the original plant killer. I have killed off so many that I only take on one at a time now and often go for periods without any plants. I recently gave a plant I had kept alive for over 3 years to a friend because it was looking rather poorly and my friend has a green thumb. I figured maybe it would have a chance of survival with her!
-
I have had the same house plants for about 45 years and they are still going strong. I have mostly dieffenbachias, spider plants and Wandering Jew plants. I try to repot them every year and to start a few new ones from cuttings so I can give plants to friends and neighbors. It is good to have plants in your house because they keep your air fresh plush they give a really homey feel to a room.
-
I love the greenery of house plants but I don't have a green thumb so the ones I have are plastic.
-
Get well soon
I do have some house plants in my house, but they are not looking so good right now. I just recently had surgery and haven't been able to take care of them they way they should be taken care of.

How many house plants do you usually have?
-
Of course. They provide oxygen, look nice sitting there and can actually make you feel better.
Naturally, I talk to them and they always agree with everything I say. Imagine that! :rose:
:fish:
-
I grow plants and trees, cactus, palms, bananas, etc. but all I have inside is an oregano plant. Can't really grew much inside, always dies for me.
-
The only plant I have is a money tree that was gifted to me. I'm horrible with plants but I'm happy to say that my money tree is thriving. :)
-
:rose: My place looks like JUNGLE :clover: :clover: :clover: :clover: :clover: :clover: :clover:
-
Yes, I have them in the living room and the foyer; I like the ones that take toxins out of the air and help you to breathe better. Also, they make nice accessories.
-
:clover: :peace: :clover: I haven't had a plant in a long time now. I tend to forget that the plant needs water. I just don't have that kind of time to tend to indoor plants. I do like them though. :clover: :peace: :clover:

haha. My aunt had some house plants and she told me she sat them beside the TV and left the TV on during the day sometimes for the plants. I asked her why and she said "well you are suppose to talk to them".
I think first off, a lot of people do not grasp the reason of WHY you are suppose to talk to your plants.
Second, I think most people who are plant people do talk to their plants. I mean they are alive. :D

My mom has a lot of spider plants in the house I grew up in. I have some succulents and this weird plant I got on the last day at my old job. It is supposedly the longest blooming plant and I have to water it by putting ice cubes in the pot once a week.
-
Used to have lots of them , now i like just a out door garden , and rose bushes !
-
Not for me, a lot of upkeep and to many bugs.
-
i have several...i have a jew and 2 spider that i keep in house during winter..will be outside before long...i hope..i have several others that stay in the house....i love all plants...cactus is my next one for the house...and an aloe vera
-
Mu hubby is the green thumb at home, we have a few potted plants, and a few artificial trees. My garden is pretty and good
-
I like house plants, we live in the country and the ants that they where a good home, when it was either to wet or hot outside they had to go.
-
I wish I had more room for house plants. They are also good for your health. We live in a manufactured home and everything has to have a place. Right now all the "places" are in use! :(
-
I don't have any plants in the house. I used to have a lot of plants in the house. Now I don't have any.
-
no house plants in my house just one more thing i have to keep up with.
-
I've got an Ivy & Poinsettia plants that I've had since Christmas and they're still in swell shape.
-
My mother had a green thumb and I grew up surrounded by house plants. We always had a couple of African violets, and I remember her growing big, beautiful plants from avocado seeds. I have a variety of my own plants, but they don't thrive as well as my mother's. However, I do have a pot of chives that has been in my windowsill for several years, and I have two poinsettias left over from the last two Christmases. My 2017 poinsettia is a little confused, though, because it is just now presenting it's bright red leaves.
-
No, I can't say I have house plants but I like to do floral arrangements. I have dozens of fake flowers around the house because for me, the time it takes to make the arrangement at least fake flowers last forever while the real stuff dies within a week so it's like you did all that for nothing.
-
Second, I think most people who are plant people do talk to their plants. I mean they are alive. :D
LOL I talk to my plants all the time, If they are not doing well I baby talk them (dont judge me anyone lol) But if they still arent doing well a month later the baby talk is gone, and its if you dont perk yourself up your going in the trash!
-
Its okay until they start talking back.... :silly:
-
I love house plants but I only have one that I can put on a counter my son's cats can't get to because so many plants are toxic to cats. These cat's are so old when they go I am getting a lot of house plants not that I want them to go. They are about 18 years old though.
-
It healthy to have live plants in your home. I wish I had room for them. I just don't! Also, they do need regular attention.
-
I have a brown thumb and green thumb dh only cares about growing fruits and veggies outside.
-
I have an aloe plant! I would have more house plants but I don't have enough space for too many.
-
I like house plants I like the ones mentioned in this thread :clover: stuff like the last guy said is pretty cool I like flowers too :rose: good luck with them
-
I love to see living plants all around the house. Sadly, I rarely have time to take care of myself much less plants. We had a Ficah tree for twelve years and a Jade plant for about eighteen years. They were both gigantic but I never had time to replace them. I was good at watering them every fe days but the soil was totally depleted and there was no where for the roots to go. I was very surprised that my twenty two year old daughter was saddened at the loss of the jade plant. I guess one gets sentimental about things that are in their life, and surroundings, for a large part of their life. She was filled with melancholy when we lost a tree that had stood at the entry to our driveway for two decades. I had to point out that death is inevitable which wasn't much comfort.
-
and...they take away orders.
-
No, I only have a few roses on special occasions, no plants..
-
:rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: I have a garden window in my kitchen where I have grown lots of herbs for several years. I also have several large plants in the dining room and the living room I have a sunroom/office/playroom with lots of sunlight where I grow several plants, start my garden plants and grow orchids. The orchids my daughter who has a staging/decorating business trades them out in the homes and then brings them back for me to baby when the blooms are gone. :rose: :rose: :rose:

I love house plants. I have 3 house plants in my kitchen.
-
I suffer from allergies...so I cannot have any house plants or pets at home.
-
I only have plants outside. They always die inside for some reason.
