Title: SHAZAM!

But I like the animated movies. I watched the new superman movie the other night that is animated. It was pretty good.

I do too, I always did enjoy it so I know I will go and see. We are taking the grandkids all to see DUMBO this weekend.

It comes from comic books. The old TV show came from comic books. There are a TON of comic books about this character over the decades.
They will probably take inspiration from all over the place.

Most likely, it will be nothing like the old show in the same way the Batman movies, Wonder Woman movie, etc. are not very much like their older shows.

However, I'd still check it out if you like the character / DC / superheroes.

I personally can't wait for The Flash movie, as he is one of my favorites and I like the comics and TV show. I would LOVE a Flash video game for Xbox! Love the Batman Arkham games 8)

I think Wonder Woman, and then Aquaman, got the ball rolling, as both of those were good movies that did well at the box office as well as critically.

Aquaman is my favorite DC movie since the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy.

I hope Flash is a good movie, I really like the character.

The planned new Batman movie sounds promising, it is set back in time compared to the Justice League movie, and Batman is not being played by Ben Afleck, as he is much younger. From the description I have read, they will focus on Batman's detective skills, which sounds great because that aspect has been largely overlooked in previous films, but is a core aspect of Batman. He is the ultimate detective (and strategist), and even started in a comic book called Detective Comics (80 years ago!)

I do not know how they will interconnect future films like another Justice League, I guess we will have to just ignore Batman being a different actor, like how in the Marvel movies they switched actors for the Hulk and War Machine.

Post by: JediJohnnie on April 12, 2019, 11:27:11 am: Well, I've seen the film and I was very pleased. I would say the trailers are pretty misleading. It's actually pretty dark at times and some of the 'monsters' might be scary for kids. But for the most part, it was a fun romp with a good cast.
