Title: Survey tracking
Post by: 1imaginarygirl on April 03, 2019, 05:01:29 am
I've been flagged 3 times for "speeding" now on a different survey site in just a couple of weeks, after having no problems for the last 3 years. This last time they told me I finished a 15 minute survey in 2 minutes. No way. Either something went wrong with the survey or their time estimate was wrong. I can see finishing it in 8-10 minutes if I was speeding through, but not 2. I'm not a speed reader. I think they're just trying to get rid of me for some reason. Is it a coincidence that I have $50 worth of points that I haven't cashed out yet? Some of the points are still pending, so I'm not doing anything on that site until I can cash out, just in case they ban me completely.

I think I might start screen recording when I take surveys. Does anyone else keep track of the surveys they take?

No,  but I am sure someone is always watching what you do.

I don't know what that's supposed to mean. They're basically saying I'm cheating, and I know that I'm not. But I have no proof unless I keep track somehow.

I think everybody gets these bogus complaints from FC from time to time. I don't think they mean anything serious. I have gotten a few myself, usually when I use my daughter's computer to do FC stuff instead of my own. The complaints just go away after a while. I wouldn't bother going through the effort of tracking my surveys like you say you are going to do.

It's not FC - I've never had a problem here. It's a different site.

Just be careful about doing that, because they could block your account or ban you at some point if they feel you are routinely violating the rules.

Completely different scenario but I know of another user who was banned for a 'rule violation'. She got paid from FC by check (she had no PayPal account and wasn't interested in getting one).  Her husband has extreme OCD and is a control freak about money (old school mentality where all the money belongs to/is controlled by the man b.s.) and he always insisted that any checks made out to her be signed over to him --> she would endorse on the back and then he would countersign and go deposit it into the bank.  They've been married for 50 years and apparently have always operated their finances that way and she didn't fight him about it - so I guess that's all on her. The banks never refused to cash or deposit checks so he was determined that it was okay to do and that was how they were going to do it - end of discussion.

Anyway - because she was paid with a paper check and the canceled checks came back to Fusion Cash - at some point she got a warning from Fusion Cash that this was a violation of some sort and that she should stop having someone else signing the checks sent to her.  Husband didn't care about the rules (he knew better) and continued to do it that way.  One day she tried to logon to Fusion Cash and her account was closed.  When she eventually got through to support to determine why she was banned, she was told that she had been warned about that check cashing practice and still continued to violate the rules. End of story; cash flow stopped. (And she was one of those actively cashing out every single month users).

The moral of the story = they really aren't playing around when they say "Don't do X."

Exactly. I really like the other site and don't want to be banned, but it's my word against theirs unless I have some kind of proof.

You need to cash out your points now!  I don't know why people want to hoard their points or money in these sites.  Anything can happen.  The site can shut down, they can kick you out at any time for any reason - their TOS tells you that if anybody bothers to read them.

I would maybe do a survey every now and then and do it really slow.  Get your pending points and then cash out.  Then start back if you want.  Write down your start and stop time.  I have been told I took it too fast and told I was too slow.  So there is no way to win.

They are not saying you are cheating.  If they say you are rushing thru the survey they are saying you are not reading the questions. Not taking the time to give thoughtful answers.

They most certainly do mean something.  If you get a complaint against you then you can get a warning from FC telling you that if you get a second one you will be banned from doing the surveys. Idk about anyone else but surveys are how I make the bulk of my money.

That is stupid on so many levels.  First off if the account had both her name and her husband's name on it then he didn't need to sign the FC check.  It only needed her signature to deposit it in to the account.  Now if he cashed it then either she needed to be present or he would also need to sign it.

I do not see what business it is of FC what is done with the check as long as the person it was written to signed the back.  I don't even know how they would know because with thousands of members I doubt they sit and look at the back of every check they issue.  They do not get the cancelled checks back in hand anyway.  It is all electronic.  Surely there is more to it.

When she got the first warning did she not try to explain what the deal was and why there was a 2nd signature on the back of the check?

Then we go in to why she allows her husband to control her the way he does.  I would not put up with that.  She needs to open her own checking account that he doesn't know about.  Have her own email that he doesn't know about.  Have the checking account stuff ALL delivered electronically.  Then get a PayPal account to deposit the funds.  Assuming he controls the mail.  And if he does maybe she needs to open a post office box so that when the bank delivers debit cards they can send them to the post office box.  Seems like a lot of trickery but her husband sounds like a mental case.

Yes, they are saying I'm cheating. They are saying I'm not reading the questions and just picking whatever answer in order to complete the survey and get the points. And this is not true. I AM reading and answering honestly.

I did not say you were hoarding points.  I said I don't understand why people in general "hoard" points.  And they do.  They do it on here.  Wait for a big cash out.  Then cry when they lose money.  As soon as I hit cash out I do so.  On any site.  You said you had the points for a $50 cash out.  So my advice was cash out now so that if they close your account you do not lose your money.

lol.  You basically said the exact same thing I did.  I guess when I think of cheating I would not think of answering questions too quickly as cheating.  Esp if you are not failing the trap questions.

Although I was asked one about carpet once and I answered honestly and they flagged me and said I failed a trap question.  I emailed them and explained I answered the question correctly but it didn't make a difference.

I'm sorry, I was including the pending points in the $50 cash out. I am with you on hoarding. As soon as I can, I cash out. I'd rather have that money sitting in my savings account accruing interest.

I have been told that I was speeding through a survey but I make sure to read everything just because they put those quality checks in the surveys like click here if you are not paying attention or click on a certain area :)

That is what I meant.  I know some people let their points build so they can do a $100 cash out or whatever.  I say as soon as you hit it - cash it out.  Get your money.  On the Cashcrate my cousin got to $17 something and the last week or so she could not even get surveys.  Nothing on the site was working for her so she just lost her money.  Since the site closed I think they should pay everyone what they owe them.  If mailing checks is an issue they could say you need PP to get your last pay out.  But anyway.

Hopefully you get your money.  I would get my $50 and then take a break from them for a bit or just do a survey every now and then and give them time to stop microwatching your account.

I would go ahead and cash out, don't take a chance of losing your points all together
