I am NOT good at singing at all, but I sing and dance almost every day. As I walk through the house,
I'll grab one of my kids to do a twirl as they pass me. Some laugh, others shrug, roll their eyes ::) or yell "MOM!"
But I know deep down inside they love it... I try to make each day as fun for them and for me that I can. :in-love:

I like to sing but just songs that I enjoy listening to. My kids grew up listening to my music and they knew more words than me in most songs. Now they have their own taste of music
-
Very much so.We have a trio that does timeless songs from 50s 60s & 70s.
We work on getting the vocal harmony and making sure music, rhythm and tempo are correct.
-
I don't dance but I do sing. I like it.
-
I love Music. It has been with me since I was a child.
It is my preferred and favorite therapy.
It makes me feel young again.
-
ido love to sing.
when i was young i always sang in the church choir and in the school choruses.
i really miss singing with a group. i should get back into it :rainbow: :peace:

I do like to sing. I sing in my church choir and sometimes I have to sing solos, which no matter how many times I do this it still makes me nervous.
-
Yes, I do like to sing but unfortunately I'm a horrible singer! :(

Me also. But that doesn't seem to stop me. LOL
-
I am not a great singer, but I do like to sing about little things that happen in the day. I only do it around my kids. No one else knows this about me beside them.
-
I like to sing. I was in the church choir for many years. Sang solos with my guitar. And still sing along with the radio.
-
I can sing a little bit but I am not the best singer; I still try though. I use to sing in the church choir growing up.

I am sure your kids really do love it when you twirl them and include them in your love of fun. Keep it up!
They will reminisce about your antics when they grow older.

I love singing. I am not a fantastic singer by any means, but I do sing in our church choir. I sing soprano.
I sing along with the radio and quite often a melody will just bubble up out of me at all times of the day.
-
I sing because it makes me happy. Used to drive my kids crazy, but since they've moved out, I sing a lot more. :)
-
I love to sing but I don't think the people around me love to hear me as much as I love to sing...
-
I love to sing but unfortunately have a very flat voice with no vibrato to it at all. I like singing with other people the best and rarely sing when I am alone, even in the shower.
-
I sing when I'm in my house but try not to do it in public that's when I usually hum.
-
yes but by myself....and love 70s rock
-
I think being a decent singer would be so fun, unfortunately I'm really not good at it at all. :( At least I can do a little yowling in my car where no one else will be harmed :P
-
I've been singing and harmonizing since I was a very little girl. I still love it.
And I was in Sweet Adelines for a while when they were nearby. That's a ladies' barbershop quartet group for those who aren't aware of it.

I was a professional musician for a number of years. Not only did I play instruments but sang as well. Music is still, and always will be, a big part of my life.
Yes, I love to sing. Part of our worship to our Grand God Jehovah is singing. Every week the congregation sings Kingdom Melodies. I love that too.
-
I love singing even the not so good. Me and my husband bought a microphone that you can plug in on the tv and you can choose like 6,000 songs and if you want have a score also. The magic sing karaoke. We bought in the Philippines. Every weekend , sing along time. lol

A couple of Kingdom Melodies have touched me Bet.
A few yrs ago when the introduced new songs and started The Memorial with "A Special Possession"i remember i was sharing the new cheat sheet and i was in a trance immediately how beautiful that song is.
Followed up by the ending song at meeting end.
Not sure if u have checked it out on YouTube....the choir singing "Special Possession in harmony.Wow!

I'm not good at singing. But I do listen to the songs I like.
-
I sing in the car and such but I am not good at it but I guess you could say I enjoy it.
-
I am glad I actually stumbled across this particular thread. Yes, I do like to sing. For whatever reason, Britney Spears' "Baby One More Time" entered my head, and I started belting out the lyrics in the shower. That led to me playing the entire CD (yes, I am showing my age, LOL) and singing practically every song.
-
I love to sing. Since I grew up as a Child in the Church Chrior, I mostly sing Gospel Music, I know that I can not sing that well, But Our Father in Heaven Blesses me each and every Day.
-
Yes. I'm not as good at it as I use to be but yes I do love to sing.
-
They're probably thinking "mom is so corny" lol but these are the moments they will cherish when they get older. I imagine they will envision you with an angelic light behind you.

Yes and I have been told I am good at it. I sang in a Barbershop Quartet for over 15 years and do solos in church every few months. I will be doing one this Easter in a special pogram. My biggest singing thrill was to sing the National Anthem for 10,000 people in the Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
-
sometimes I like to sing. other times I like to sing and dance.
-
I like to sing too. I'm awful at it though. So the best time to sing for me is at a concert when the music is really loud....I can belt it out and nobody hears me. Not even the people around me. I'm a little self Conscious of just how bad I am so when I sing I prefer to be alone most of the time.
-
I don't sing either, but I like to watch the Voice!
-
I wanted too be a singer song writer but too make along story short, I never got my chance. I do sing some of the songs I wrote mostly everyday though and I still try too figure out better arrangements each and everyday. Maybe one day they will see the light of day. ???
-
I like to, but only home, and just hum in public.
-
I love singing. It always seems to put me in a good mood and lift my spirits. It just feels good to sing!
-
I usually only sing and dance when I'm home alone. The dog and I can really cut a rug. LOL
-
I love to sing. I come from a musical family. My singing voice is just ok.
-
I am not a great singer, but I do like to sing about little things that happen in the day. I only do it around my kids. No one else knows this about me beside them.
And everyone reading this :) lol Don't worry, your secret is safe with me! I'm sure that your kids, just like mine, deep down inside enjoy us making fools of ourselves. Hee hee :D
-
I also sing all the time! My voice is enough to kill anything within my range but I dont care! Music is awesome and singing is a great release!
-
I am not very good but I still do all the time.
-
My granny had a saying about people not being able to carry a tune in a bucket. It certainly applies to me but if I am in my car by myself I sing because there is no one to complain about it LOL
-
uhhh no i'm totally tone deaf but I do sing in the car when no one is with me LOL
-
The funny thin is I can't sing worth a darn, but can dance to anything and am darn good at it. Just no voice. But I love music and love moving to it. I do sing a little in the car when by myself. But just to keep myself awake if traveling at night which I seldom do any more.

That is the one talent I wish I had

That is the one talent I wish I had
You may doubt what I say, but with professional training almost anyone can learn to sing.

I guess it depends on what level you might be referring to.I am a musician.I have an excellent ear and can arrange.I have sung with other musicians and have seen they struggle sometimes to stay on key.
Then you have people like John Philips <Mamas & Papas> and Brian Wilson who were considered geniuses with no training.
Its like some have a way with cars or sports. They have the God given talent and maybe refine it more or take more instruction to be better.

The fact is there are certain mechanical details that need to be mastered (either naturally or with training) that determine if you can hold pitch or not. I know that once I learned to control the diaphragm for support, it opened a whole new level for me. Without some kind of support, there is no way to stay on pitch.

Yes, I love to sing and have sung in numerous choirs, but I don't have the voice that I wish I had. My daughter makes her living as a singer. Oldbuddy, I surely wish you would post a video somewhere of your Easter solo. Also, I love Barbershop Quartets. There's just nothing like good harmony!

You like good harmony? The King Singers will blow you away how magical their vocal arrangements are.Ck em out via YouTube.
The Association from the 60s were also very underrated how complex their vocal arrangments were.
-
I like to sing, but I am not great at it at all; always wish I was born with a good singing :( voice.
-
I sing even though I don't have a good singing voice. I also dance, have danced a lot. Makes me happy.
-
Love to sing but no one likes to listen.
-
I'll sing along with CDs/radio and music at church, but on my own? Not nearly as comfortable doing that...
-
Only in my head outside from that is a no since I consider myself bad as well.
-
Sometimes I hear a song and it gets stuck in my head so I start singing it, I wouldn't give up my day job though for I cant sing for beans.
-
I do, but I sound tonedeaf af. :(
-
I am not a good singer, but I do enjoy singing from time to time. The first time I really sang was when I joined the youth choir at my church as a child. I love listening to R&B music with Toni Braxton and Whitney Houston and Anita Baker and others and wish I could sing like them. Like a lot of people I imagined myself getting famous and dazzling others with a voice I wish I had. I now just sing along to my songs on my walkman or sing to myself around the house.

If someone has a bad "ear," it is almost impossible for them to sing well enough anyone would want to listen. I am bad! Believe me when I say that! No ear!! That is why I sing whenever I am alone if I want. Something about the ole car and shower makes it sound better. Maybe something to do with acoustics in small places? Or maybe my lack of an ear in ANY environment?
