I've never flown on a plane, but I've been on a subway train in New York. Which do you prefer and why?
-
Plane for sure, so quick.
-
Airplanes are awesome...but risky.
I usually travel ground surface.
Car, bus or train.
-
If I am travelling a short distance I usually take the train but anything over a couple of hours I usually drive myself or I take a plane. I will say that one of my bucket list items is to take a train across the country.
-
Plane if possible
-
I have never been on a plane or a train and I am 30. Lol. I have taken very looooong car rides though so hopefully the next time I travel it will finally be by plane.
-
Been on an airplane multiple times but only once for a train.
-
I prefer to take the plane simply because of the speed of getting where I am going
-
never been on a plane either. my 33 yr old son has, had to get meds to fly. I would also have thought about flying maybe with my daughter. She has flown a lot. taken the train to Oregon years ago from the Oakland bay area really nice ride.
-
I prefer the train since the seats are more comfortable and adjustable and have a food shop on the train as well. But if I want to get somewhere faster in less time, I choose plane.
-
i have commuted on a train and gone by train to VA years ago. as much as i hate to travel i prefer a plane because it is faster :rose: :peace:
-
Honestly, I prefer a train. I am less scared of not getting to my destination if my feet/body is on the ground.
-
I have never been on a train out of town so I would like to try it. I have have been on an airplane a few times but have lost interest since I have gotten older and scene 911.
-
Plane. Faster and usually more comfortable and less creepy.
-
Train or bus. I'll take the scenic route. :)
-
Not been on a plane in years and I have never been on a train at all! I would kind of like to at some point, provided it's a scenic journey. I would be less nervous being on the ground.
-
Have been on a plane many times. Never took a train trip (except for subways) and I would love to take a train ride for the enjoyment of scenery.
-
Neither one actually but certainly not airplane. Actually I am a hermit and don't even like driving any more but I don't want to be up in the air for sure.
-
A plane because you can get there faster.
-
i prefer a plane if i had to choose
-
I don't like flying & prefer traveling on the train or anything travels on the ground.
-
I prefer trains. I am fearful of heights. Trains never leave the ground.
-
Train, to me it's safer.
-
Not a fan of flying.
-
I would take a train. When I was in the army I traveled across Germany by train and loved it.

Airplane

I vastly prefer a plane to a train. I like travelling, but would prefer to get the transportation part of it to my destination over with as quick as possible and a plane is always going to be much faster. When I went to Oklahoma last year from our home it took about 3 hours on 2 planes and that was enough. I just want to get to the location and start my vacation up as fast possible. The sightseeing on a train is nice, but I would rather focus on that part of the trip in a car on my vacation.
-
Definitely prefer flying. I absolutely LOVE to travel, and in order to see what I want to see, I need to be efficient with my time. Last time I was on a train (outside of a city) was when I traveled from Brasov, Romania to Budapest, Hungary. Granted, I didn't pay for a first class seat, but especially the bathroom on the train was SO NASTY. But, an experience, I suppose. :D

I have traveled by all 3 plane for speed train for comfort car for seeing the sights
-
I have flown, rode a train and a bus and by far my favorite way to travel is flying.
-
Plane. I enjoy flying!
-
I have never been on a plane but we took a vacation on a train once and it took a day and a half to get from the midwest to the east coast. I have driven it many times as well but I will take a plane one of these days.
-
I like to fly, but hubby doesn't. although he did fly to Alaska with me. Once we got there and he sobered up he enjoyed it. I haven't got him on a long train ride yet. But I enjoy them too. He has been on a couple of sightseeing trains here in the state and liked them. My ideal trip would be ride the train east, take the paddlewheel tour on the Mississippi to the south and then lease a motor home to come or fly home. But he is just not budging on it. Oh well that why we have dreams.
-
Definitively not a plane.
-
I have never traveled by train. I think it might be fun. I have been on an airplane and I loved it although we were not on the plane long. We flew from Raleigh-Durham Airport to Atlanta. It took less than one hour.
-
Planes are faster once you get in the air. I have pressure problems with my ears now so I have no desire to fly anymore. The train is ok and when I go to NY I enjoy seeing the acts in the subway and observing the different people.
-
Also never been on a plane. But I have been on amtrak and it was nice - traveled just as fast as a car would, if not faster since you didn't have to stop.
-
I have never flown and never want to, so it's the train for me.
-
I like planes for speed. The trains is nice for seeing the countryside. The bus is not even on the list.
-
It depends where you going. Like me, 24 hours in the plane just to visit my mom in Manila.
-
I'd rather fly on a plane any day than take the subway. It's a lot less noisy plus they give you snacks you don't get on the subway. I don't hate the subway though. I often take it to get to museums in NYC.
