Title: CCleaner?
Post by: Azanne07 on October 10, 2009, 08:12:25 am
I have seen a lot of posts that talk about using a ccleaner to help get credit for the surverys. Can anyone tell me about this ccleaner?

I have it but I don't even use it.  For the most part my offers credit only on the rare occasion or two or three did I not have an offer that credited.  I have tried clearing cookies and not clearing cookies.  I don't clear cookies and the offers still credit.  I only use Firefox if that matters.

CCleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware! :)

CCleaner takes old cookies, old software, and registry keys off of your computer. It doesn't affect the way that cookies are stored on your computer, or give you any advantage at FC. I only use it to help clean out my computer.

Most of my offers credit, but on the occassion they don't, I just move on and find another.

out of the few that i have completed, i only got credited for 3 of them. So i was wondering about cookie issue as well. I use Firefox always, as IE is jam packed full of unnecessary junk and allows lots of spyware and adware. CCleaner usually does a good job with helping cookies, i don't think it would really do anything as far as getting credited for the offers. that's a site issue. but as one of you said, in the case that it's not getting credited, just ~sigh~ find another, and move on................ and i put much emphasis on the ~sigh~ lol

Sounds interesting. You have to pay for it?

You don't need CCleaner to clear your cookies. You can do it yourself under the safety tab. Just use inprivate browsing, then you don't have to worry about cookies.

I have ccleaner on my computer. It is good for cleaning out  old files when your computer is running slow. Browsing will cause the computer to run slow after a while. If you go in and clean out the files and cookies under the Internet (web) options it will help but it doesn't work as well as using the Ccleaner. Just my opinion but if you have it, it may be worth the try. I know it works better for me. It is a free service. I haven't seen one that has a charge applied for downloading it.

Yeah, it's prolly much better for clearing out files if your computer is working slowly, but I doubt it impacts getting credited. I use inprivate browsing & I've done & got credit for all the freebies there are to do.
